I used Ipiccy to add the black and white effect on the picture. It looks really dull as it has no colour to it I used the eraser tool to erase the black and white effect of the red leather jacket.

I FIXED THE CONTRAST AND BRIGHTNESS OF THE IMAGE ON PHOTOSHOP AS IT THEIR FACES WERE TOO PALE.

I decided to make the image black and white, due to the fact that most rock magazines use black and white images instead of coloured. However, in the original image the main artist (Amann) is wearing a red leather jacket, so I thought that it would be a good idea to make everything black and white, but leave the red jacket in red. The colour red signifies power and violence which fits in with his facial expressions as he is the main artist in the band. Even though, he is sitting on the floor and the rest of the artists are above him; he still looks the most powerful and has a lot of attention on him as he stands out the most. Having the image in just black and white is dull and has no excitement; as my target readers are young so I have to grab their attention.
