Flatbed ScannersIs used to scan printed documents, images and printed documents.

What ya do is put something in the machine then press the scan button on your computer/laptop then erm it will scan the image and save it onto your computer.

The first ever photograph that was scanned was of Walden Kirsch in 1957 at the National Buraeu of Standards. The first scanners were drum copiers, capturing images.

Here is my example of a flatbread scan. What I had to was plug the scanner into my computer then insert my hand made figure into the machine and the computer came up with the option of making the machine make the scan.

DSLRIs where you take pictures with an actual camera of certain things

Camera’s have been used since the early 20th century.

All of these photos on the side were taken with a DSLR camera

The first DSLR was invented in 1999, the 1st generation only had a primitive picture with adjustable balance. The second generation was in 2007 which offered much better real image quality.

The DSLR contains a lens, a reflex mirror, a focal plane shutter, an image sensor, a matte focusing screen, condenser lens, pentaprism and a viewfinder.

Mobile PhoneA camera phone is a phone that has the ability to take a picture or video

The mobile phone was first introduced in 2001 in Japan and released in Europe the following year. My phone is an iPhone 4S and the pictures on the side were taken with it.

The first ever iPhone was invented in 2008 and each phone since has had a certain amount of new features.

WebcamIs where a camera is installed into a computer/laptop so people can take a photo/record a video

The photos taken on the side were taken with the use of Photo Booth, a photo editing app.

PhotoshopPhotoshop is a system powered by Adobe, it is the system you would use for making things such like posters and game/DVD/CD covers. The system was released in 1990 by Thomas and John Knoll and had stable release in 2014.

It has many techniques/tools that you can use, these include the polygonal lasso which enable you to cut round an image and use it for another image/1 of your own. Another useful tool is cropping where you can cut bits of images off that you do not feel are necessary.
