A £1.5m project of ground engineering

for the IM Properties Group at Whateley

Villas near Tamworth. Failed railways

embankments/slopes were re-profiled

and stabilised using combinations of

engineered, cutting and filling along

with the installation of Gabion baskets

and soil nailing. Remediated areas

included an array of drainage solutions

typically from traditional land drainage

to drilled and grouted “plati” drains all

designed to remove excessive weight

from the slopes.

The re-profiled slopes covered with

geotextile erosion matting topped off

with Hydroseed giving a “natural” finish.
