The Great Deluge / The Great FloodWhen the Sun Age came, there had passed 400 years. Then came 200 years, then 76. Then all mankind was lost and drowned and turned to fishes. The water and the sky drew near each other. In a single day all was lost, and Four Flower consumed all that there was of our flesh. The very mountains were swallowed up in the flood, and the waters remained, lying tranquil during fifty and two springs. But before the flood began, Titlachahuan had warned the man Nota and his wife Nena, saying, 'Make no more pulque, but hollow a great cypress, into which you shall enter the month Tozoztli. The waters shall near the sky.' They entered, and when Titlacahuan had shut them in he said to the man, 'Thou shalt eat but a single ear of maize, and thy wife but one also'. And when they had each eaten one ear of maize, they prepared to go forth, for the water was tranquil.

13. The X Project is an undertaking in South Africa to bring the X back from extinction and reintroduce it back into its habitat. The project began, when in 1955, Lutz Heck suggested that careful selected breeding, of a similar species, called the Plains Zebra could recreate the X.

However, the project could get underway only in 1980, when it was proved that the X was a subspecies of the Plains Zebra. During March 1987, nine zebras were selected and captured at the Etosha National Park in Namibia. On 24 April1987 these zebras were brought to the specially constructed breeding camp complex at the Nature Conservation farm "Vrolijkheid", near Robertson, South Africa. This marked the start of the X re-breeding project. On 20 January 2005 the most X-like foal was born.

15. Trial: The Katzenberger TrialDefendant: Leo KatzenbergerCrime: Breaking the RassenschutzgesetzJudge: Oswald RothaugSentence: Capital Punishment.Date of execution (of Katzenberger): 2 June 1942.

This trial was used by Rothaug in an attempt to publicly demonstrate his affiliations to the Nazi party. However, as the punishment for breaking the Rassenschutzgesetz was imprisonment, Rothaug pronounced the death penalty because a witness testified that Leo Katzenberger broke the law after dark, thus also breaking another law called the Volkschädlingsgesetz, which made it a crime if people would abuse the wartime regulations.

The trial made news in 1947, and the world was reminded of it again in 1961.

17. Bernard Hermann was a famous movie film composer. Some of the movies that he has composed music for include Citizen Kane, The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956), The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951), and many other films of the 1950s and 1960s.

Possibly, his most famous composition is called The Murder. Initially, the director of the movie for which this piece would be a part of the soundtrack wanted there to be no music for that scene, but Bernard Hermann convinced him otherwise, and this piece is now one of the great cult themes of all time.

The piece mainly consists of the string section of an orchestra and involves a large amount of screeching violin sounds.

Id the film for which Hermann contributed The Murder.
