IHIJI’s solution provides a robust Linux-based remote network management device designed to securely monitor, service and maintain client networks and connected devices remotely and efficiently 24x7 all year round. Using a single cloud-based platform, IHIJI provides a coherent end-to-end view of network performance across multiple technologies, including entertainment, HVAC, lighting and 3rd party control systems, with historical trend analysis and asset reporting. IHIJI’s cloud based online dashboard shows the real-time status of all client sites, with individual system map views to easily pinpoint problems, and live monitoring with e-mail alerts to notify support staff when problems occur.

System components

IHIJI’s remote network management system comprises a choice of single-application Linux-based, passively-cooled network appliances and an Annual Support Licence. Simply choose the network management appliance that suits your installation based on the number of devices you wish to monitor.

The APP-500-UK is a compact palm-sized appliance fitted with a 3-pin UK plug that supports installations with up to 50 devices.

The APP-1100 supports larger installations where management of more than 50 devices is required. You’ll need a corresponding Annual Licence with Premium Support with either appliance.

Remote network monitoring and management allows integrators to cost-effectively deploy remote network support services as part of their service and preventative maintenance proposition to deliver reliable service levels across multiple installations.

Brand-agnostic to ensure you can successfully monitor and manage installations with network products from most industry Vendors. Create your own product profiles for components you wish to monitor beyond those listed within IHIJI’s database. You can add and configure devices to suit your installation, setting profiles and parameters to monitor most devices.

On-board support for UK-centric products. The supported device database includes support for Sky, Virgin Media and FreeView HD receivers allowing you to remotely manage devices which routinely require system rebooting.

Network scan facility automatically simplifies and expands visibility within managed networks. It provides a quick and convenient scan that collects data from connected network devices including IP address, MAC address, manufacturer and last-seen/first-seen instances. Moreover, the feature allows easy conversion of ‘discovered’ devices into actively managed devices, significantly reducing the time needed for configuration.

Power management with full remote management functionality that goes beyond basic reboot/reset routines. New scheduled reboot capabilities expand the Integrator’s ability to manage all power products from a central online dashboard, regardless of manufacturer or device type. This functionality spans PDUs, UPSs and PoE switches.

ConnectNinja increases reliability and improves security by eliminating the need for unsecure port forwarding and VPNs for everyday remote access to networked IP devices. ConnectNinja allows authorised technicians to resolve complex issues remotely without on-site service calls, saving both the client and integrator time and money.

Internet Speed Testing provides a powerful tool for testing network latency and Internet connection quality by allowing support personnel to check and confirm network functionality plus relative upload/download speeds. It automatically logs and charts connection quality to identify trends and improve wide area network performance.

Extended Reporting capabilities help troubleshoot complex network issues and offer better customer-facing reports to convey the value of their remote support services to clients. This includes a detailed executive report to highlight high level network performance and remote support details.
