French Culinary Program A career boosting experience for Hotel Management students through a unique educational and sightseeing tour to Paris and a Culinary Institute for 10 days. Participate in interactive French cuisine workshops, visit beautiful monuments and immerse into its culture.

About the program: Our Package includes: 10 days / 9 nights

PARIS: 5 days / 4 nights + CULINARY INSTITUTE: 5 days / 5 nights

ACCOMODATION:

§ 4 nights Half board (breakfast and dinner) at a residence

in Paris (multiple rooms for students and single rooms for

the leaders)

§ 5 nights’ Full board (breakfast, lunch at school, dinner)

accommodation at a residence (multiple rooms for

students and single rooms for the leaders)

TRANSPORTATION:

§ Return Airfare from Mumbai to Paris (CDG/Orly airport)

– economy class.

§ Airport transfers by private coach

o From CDG/Orly airport to accommodation.

o From Culinary Institute to CDG airport, via Blois and

Chartres.

§ 10 metro/bus tickets per participant for the Paris stay

(Zones 1 to 2)

§ Train tickets (2nd class) from Paris to Culinary Institute.

COOKING CLASS:

§ 4 days cooking training with professional chefs,

including local visits

§ Students receive a certificate of completion at the end of

the course.

ASSISTANCE:

§ 1 IFH coordinator available throughout the tour.

§ Local tour leader also available.

§ Visa formalities, fees and Travel Insurance included.

ELIGIBILITY:

§ Group size minimum 20 students.

§ Students age minimum 15 years.

Day 1: Arrival in Paris Meet and Greet service and transfer from the airport to your accommodation in Paris with private coach. Check in.

Day 2 Climb on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a cruise on the Seine River In the afternoon, enjoy a stroll up and down the Champs Elysées and Place de la Concorde.

Day 3 Discover Montmartre District – visit of the Sacred Heart In the afternoon, free visit of the Louvre Museum, Tuileries Gardens and Ile de la Cite.

Day 4 French In the morning - guided visit of a Paris typical food market with discovery of French gastronomy specialties. You will also learn how to choose the season products. In the afternoon, visit of Latin district, Luxembourg garden and Pantheon (or half day excursion to Chantilly to visit the castle).

Day 5: Depart Paris CULINARY PROGRAM: 6 days / 5 nights. Transfer by private coach to the train station – enjoy a short train ride to the Institute. On arrival, you will meet the director of the school who you will lead you to the accommodation and give you a complete schedule of your cooking lessons and introduce you to the chefs who will be with you during the whole training. In the afternoon, visit the locality.

Day 6~9: Start your 4 days cooking training at the Culinary Institute with professional chefs.

10 day Tour – Sample Itinerary During this program, the students will have the opportunity to experience French culture by discovering and exploring beautiful Paris and its neighboring region while participating in culinary workshops.

Day 6 8.30am-12.00pm: Workshop Restaurant – discovery, identification and use of materials and premises – “Realize the setting up of a restaurant table in the respect of traditions” Table topping, tableware preparation, towel folding, etc. 12.30pm: Lunch at the Institute 2.00pm-4.00pm: Bakery Workshop – Cooking session with you chef where you will learn how to make the famous French Baguette and traditional pastries.

Day 7 9.30am-12.30pm: Workshop Outside – Visit of a chocolate local factory with your chef or French market and discover fresh products 12.30pm: Lunch at the Institute 1.30pm-4.00pm: Chocolate Workshop – Chocolate processing training with a chef: learn how make chocolate candies, ganache and discover the variety and origin of chocolate.

Day 8 9.30am-3.30pm: Cooking Workshop – Production of a complete menu (entrance, main course, dessert) with your chef based on traditional French recipes. 12.30pm: Eat what you have cooked with your chef! Sharing, analysis and comments. 4.00pm Visit of a wine cave and degustation.

Day 9 9.00am – 6.00pm: full day excursion to Mont St Michel Abbey (visit of the abbey) and stop at Cancale for Oyster degustation.

Day 10: Departure for Paris Return to Paris by private coach with a stop in the Loire Valley – Blois (visit of the castle) and Chartres (visit of the cathedral) and transfer to Paris airport. Back to Mumbai armed with new skills and sweet memories.
