能够较流畅的说1分钟以上,考生不要只用一句话来回答每一个问题.尽可能的

把每个问题多多扩展开.

如果你觉得第二中方法的格式不适合自己,你也可以就用第一方法,但是记住第

Nightingale. She was British. Nowadays, a lot of prizes for nurses are named after her. I got to know about her when I was reading a book about famous and admirable people in the word. She is remembered throughout the world for her heroic, almost superhuman labors during the War. She dealt with hospitals, the health of the British soldiers as well as the health of the working people. The school of Nursing stands supreme among her magnificent achievements. We now know that the profound reforms needed in hospitals of all kinds, and in every phase of our common lives with its everyday human needs, are dependent upon her. Almost all modern nursing systems and techniques we know today can be traced back to her. She took 38 women to Turkey to nurse wounded and sick British soldiers in the war. This was the first time the government had allowed women to do this. With her patience and loving heart, many soldiers were saved, but she suffered from some psychological disease for the rest of her life. She became not only the first modern war nurse and nurse commander but its first documented psychological casualty. Even when she was old, she was

When he was about four years old, he began to learn to play the piano, and he spent much time that every day. Last year, he won a national prize for playing the piano, which gives him more motivation in practice. He also likes to entertain his friends. His parents want him to have more opportunities to enjoy his childhood. On weekends, the little boy is encouraged to invite his classmates or neighbors to come. They can enjoy the games that they like. Besides, the little boy is also very polite. Whenever he meets us, he says hello to us first and holds the

Reference Answer In my life, I have met many people. Some of them have escaped from my mind quickly. Others have left deep impressions on me, one of whom is a person of great importance to me. He is my neighbor named Wang Gang. I have known him since I moved to the building. He is a man in his mid-40’s with a pair of glasses. He looks, as he is, quite intellectual. We have been friends for many years. He is the manger of a company. Although he is quite busy, he doesn’t hesitate to give me help whenever I need it. He is such a kind, supportive and optimistic person. He influenced the development of my character. I still remember when I was in junior high school I once failed a math exam. I felt so unhappy. Wang Gang came to me and said, “Cheer up, girl. Though you failed in this exam, I am sure you will pass the next one since I know that you are always a diligent girl. You should have confidence in yourself.”

From that moment on, I was determined not to make him feel

Page 28: IELTS Speaking Lecture

I often visit a second hand bookshop located in the street not far from the main center. From the outside it is a very ordinary shop. At first I did not realize it was a bookshop. It is not a big shop. In fact everything is very crowed inside. There is a table in the centre of the room filled with books and the shelves around the walls are lined with books. While the books are organized into sections and there are books written in Chinese, English and other languages, it is the type of shop where you have to search for books. There is not much room for people to move between the table and the bookshelves. I usually have to squeeze close to the table or shelves to let other people move past me while I’m searching for a book. I actually don’t look very closely at people who came to visit this shop as I am too busy looking for books. Sometimes I see foreigners in this shop, but not as often as I do in the foreign language bookshops.I like going to this bookshop because I can buy books there more cheaply than I can at other bookshops. I also enjoy searching for the books and am often surprised and very pleased with what I find. I don’t find a book to buy on every visit there, but I keep going back to the shop because I hope to find another unexpected book.

I. Introduction of “experience”1.1 Introduction

sting experience happened in your family ,那么这两个卡片就是一个卡片了.

考试的时候灵活运用就行了.

Although it was not the first time I attended a wedding party, I was just so excited and found it interesting because it was my sister’s wedding. The party was held in a garden which made the party more romantic, more like a fairy tale. In the party, the bridegroom shared their interesting love stories with all the guests, among whom there were my parents and all my relatives. They all came to the party and gave their best wishes to the new couples for their forever love. And everyone danced for the great celebration. At last, a rich banquet followed. Music, dancing, and delicious food. Oh, what an interesting experience in my family. I will forever remember the special day.

________________(answer the second question and enrich the answer) Everybody knows how many people to play it—____________(answer the third question )

The object is to ________________(say the general procedure to play the game)

Reference Answer2.3 The only sport that I ever really, really enjoyed was football, football in the

sense of soccer. The Americans call it soccer; the English call it football. It’s the only sport that I played when I was younger, and it’s the only sport that I continued watching until now. Of course, now I don’t practice it anymore. On very rare occasions, I go to the stadium to see the games live.

What makes the sport interesting? Perhaps it is the fact that it’s so popular all over the world . Everybody knows how to play soccer—it takes twenty two people divided into two teams.

The object is to kick the ball, from one player to the other, until eventually one of the players kicks the ball into the goal which means the team has scored one point. That is the general aspect of the game. There are more detailed rules that have to do with when the ball goes out of the field, what side of the field that ball goes out, and things of that sort. Of course, that sport is very well known and has lots of fans all over the world, as everybody knows, and that is what makes it so interesting to me.

In the evening, I will sit quietly and think about all of my accomplishments (great and small) for the week. I will congratulate myself. I will think that I am such a wonderful person. I will find ways to mentally celebrate my successes. In this way, I can boost my self-esteem and find my place of triumph in the midst of the madness. I do it everyday because daily relaxation reduces frustration, stress and anxiety. It also offers me at least some opportunities to unwind and escape from the speed of everyday life. After doing meditation, I will be refreshed and have more courage to devote to the second day. Meditation is important because it keeps me far from the noise of modern cities. I have some moments for myself. I feel enjoyable whenever I do it.

Answer Pattern3.2If I could one day have a lot of money I will________ (Open your speaking by answer the first question and enrich your answer by giving an example.) And I also want to buy . Talk about if you have a lot of money You should say: Whom might you share with What might you buy What else might you do

Do you think it is good if you could get a lot of money

Page 37: IELTS Speaking Lecture

If I could one day have a lot of money after winning the football pools, I will use it to study abroad. Both of my parents were fully aware of the importance of learning English. They tried to motivate my interest of studying English when I was very young and decided to send me to study abroad lately. But you know, studying abroad needs large amounts of money, which is incredible for my family, because my parents are just common workers with very small salary. Actually I don’t want to use the money which has been saved little by little by them in the past ten years. So, if I can luckily get the money, I will use it instead of the money from my parents to go abroad.

And I also want to buy my parents the best clothes, the best house ,and the best car,

which can make their life better. Owning a large sum of money is the dream of everyone

because you can get whatever you want. But remember, don’t be a slave to the money,

and you will definitely enjoy your life better.

这张卡片不讲,让学生课后看一看,7-8分的水平是什么样的

3.3 Sample

Reference Answer 3.3 Well, different people have different ideas about the lifestyle. In

modern societies, most people are in favor of living in big cities, they believe there will be a better environment to live in and work. There is no doubt that a big city has many social, educational and cultural facilities —public libraries, universities and colleges, museums, art galleries, clubs, etc. it also has a wide variety of big stores, restaurants, theatres and other forms of entertainment.

On the other hand, some people prefer to live in the country if possible.

37

Compare the city life as opposed to country life. You should mention: The convenience of the city Attractions of the country Disadvantages of both

and discuss which lifestyle you prefer and why.

Page 38: IELTS Speaking Lecture

They really don’t understand why so many villagers are flocking to cities in recent years. They just don’t care too much about so-called good facilities. They say the living conditions in big cities are not good at all. There is serious air pollution, ceaseless noise, heavy traffic and more crime. Moreover, since the urban population is expanding, there is an increasing demand for accommodation. When it comes to the country, people can be very close to nature. The air is fresh and the sun shines on you warmly; instead of noise, you hear the singing of birds, which makes you relaxed and happy. Life in the country is so great, cozy and colorful.

As far as I am concerned, I prefer to have a city life as most people do. Modern people can easily adapt themselves to city life; noise, traffic, violence, etc. are hardly noticeable. I believe that country life is dull and inconvenient. It’s quite enough to visit the countryside at weekends. Actually we modern people are too sophisticated for simple country pleasures. We need more opportunities to meet a variety of interesting people; we need more opportunities to get better jobs and fulfil our ambitions and dreams. And in big cities there is greater range of jobs for us to choose. I suppose this is one of the most important reasons why so many people want to in big cities.
