I LTS xamination

Registration

Apply online at the following website https://ielts.britishcouncil.org/UniversityCollegeDublin

Step 1:Select your chosen examination date, select Dublin and your chosen examinationmodule: Academic or General Training

Step 2:You will be asked to select an examination date from an available list

Step 3:Read and accept the terms and conditions

Step 4:Fill in your personal details. Please note you will be required to submit your passport

number and expiration date so please have this to hand.

Step 5:Double-check and confirm your details. Your application form will be submitted at this

point.

Step 6:Once you have submitted your application form you will have five days to complete

your application. If your application is not completed by this deadline your application will be

cancelled. To complete your application you must submit:

i. Photos

ii. Identification

Photos

The photos you provide must meet the following criteria:

a. Less than 6 months old

b. In full colour

c. Taken against a plain, pale-coloured background

d. Directly face the camera

e. Do not wear glasses

You can take a photo of yourself on your phone or camera and email it to us at ielts@alc.ucd.ie.

Please note photos taken by a phone must of high quality with no shadows in the background.

If you email the photo only one copy is required. If you choose to post the photo you must

provide two identical passport-sized copies of professional quality. All photos, whether emailedor posted must meet the criteria outlined above.

Identification

You must provide a copy of your valid passport. You must be in possession of this

identification as you will be required to bring it your exam. Your passport copy must clearly

show all of the following:

a. Photo

b. Full Name

c. Date of Birth

d. ID document Number

e. Expiry date

You can take a photo of your identification on your phone or camera and email it to us at

ielts@alc.ucd.ie. Please ensure that all of the above listed information is clearly displayed and

legible in this photo.

Applications are accepted on a "first-come, first-served' basis. Please apply as soon aspossible. Incomplete applications will not be accepted and we cannot reserve places.

Written Examinations

Saturday morning: Listening, Reading and Writing

Registration: between 8.50am and 9.30 am

Finish: 1.00 pm

Please note this is a provisional registration time only and you will be given your own confirmed

personal registration time with your examination schedule.

Speaking Examination

Please note that the speaking examination can take place on or up to two days before or after

the main exam date. You must be available during this period. Please email ielts@alc.ucd.ieif

you wish to have your speaking exam on a certain day. Please note that this request cannot be

guaranteed as places are allocated on a 'first-come, first-served' basis.
