IELTS, which stands for International English Language Testing System, is a globally recognised test which is crucial for non-native English speakers who want to move to English speaking countries for their education or work. It consists of 4 sections - Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. You will get a score from 0-9 on each section.

For admission to any course in a college abroad, you will need a minimum overall score of 6-6.5, with a minimum of 5.5-6 in each section. Your Leap Scholar counsellor can guide you through the requirements for the courses you are interested in.

Introducing ‘The LeapScholar Speaking Club’ exclusive for its IELTS Plus Members. These speaking sessions are conducted by Leapscholar’s team of trained IELTS educators.. We will help the students refine their speaking skills and prepare for the speaking section of the IELTS exam.

These sessions are conducted weekly from Monday to Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM. Only the IELTS Plus members will have access to this club.

Grammar Club

LeapScholar has created a new offering, ‘The LeapScholar Grammar Club’ exclusively for its IELTS Plus Members. These remedial classes, for those who need extra support in English basics, will cover all the important topics in English grammar and will help the students to improve their writing and speaking skills!

These sessions are conducted every Saturday from 4 PM to 6 PM. Only the IELTS Plus members will have access to this club.

The IELTS exam is conducted on almost all weekends throughout the year. You can select an appropriate date for yourself through IDP or British Council.

1. When can I take the IELTS exam?

The IELTS score is valid for two years2. What is the validity period of the IELTS results?

Anyone who is applying for pursuing higher studies in a Native English speaking country can appear for the test. You need a valid Passport to apply for the test.

3. What is the eligibility requirement for appearing in the IELTS exam?

The bands are an indication of the proficiency level of the test taker. Different countries and universities have different eligibility criteria. You must check the minimum band requirement for the country, course and university you are applying to.

4. What is the passing score?

The Paper test scores take around 13-15 days to be declared, whereas the Computer test results are available in 3-5 days.

5. In how many days do we receive the test scores?

There are guidelines for specially-abled test takers. They can submit their certificate to the exam centre in advance for a fair assessment.
