• 공학자에게필요한기본지식과학습태도를교육하고공학지식을이용한창의적인설계능력을함양시키는것을목적으로한다.

• 이를위하여공학기초지식을점검하고스스로의능력으로창의적인설계를하며, 이를결과물로구현하는실습을수행하게된다.

• 본강좌를통해공학분야에대한흥미를유발하고, 향후전공과정에서습득할공학지식을창의적으로응용하여사회에기여할수있는유능한공학자로교육시키고자한다.

• 공학설계란 “ 필요한것을만들기위해시스템, 요소, 프로세스를고안하는과정이다. 즉, 기초과학, 수학, 공학을적용해자원을목표에부합하도록가공하는의사결정과정이다.” (ABET: Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)

• 이를통하여, 학생의창의력개발, 무한한문제의식, 현대설계이론과방법론사용, 설계문제설명서, 생산과정, 관련공학설계, 세부시스템설명의공식화등을배우게된다

Design Project• Mindstorm NXT : LEGO와컨트롤러의결합

– 기존의 LEGO 부품– 여기에전자적동작을위해 CPU (NXT), 모터, 각종센서, 제어프로그램(ROBOLAB)이추가됨.

• NXT : LEGO사의차세대로봇컨트롤러– 32 bit ARM7 processor, 256K flash, 64K RAM– 입력포트 4개, 출력포트 3개– USB 및 bluetooth 통신지원– 60x100 그래픽 LCD, 스피커, 배터리– 서보모터, 초음파센서, 사운드센서, 터치센서, 라이트센서, 컬러센서

• Robolab– Labview 기반으로만들어진그래픽기반프로그래밍소프트웨어

– USB 또는블루투스를통해 PC에서 NXT로전송가능
