“Industrial Equipment” (IE) features for operation in difficult environments
•Extendedtemperaturefunctionality,upto-45°to+85°C
•Multiplepoweroptions:AC,DCandPoweroverEthernet(PoE)
•DINRailmountable(DINclipssoldseparately)
TransparentLANserviceprovidersrequireremotemanagementcapabilities, andmustbeabletoisolatemanagementtrafficandcustomer data. The compact IE-MiniFiberLinX-II, functioningas a more advanced Network Interface Device (NID), isdesigned for operation by service providers and campusnetworkadministrators. Itprovisionspoint-to-point fiberopticconnections and provides a remote network interface at thecustomer’s location thatmonitors theentire linkbetween twolocations.
The IE-MiniFiberLinX-II for fiber optic networks allows serviceproviders to deliver managed, high-bandwidth “triple play”voice, videoanddataservicestothecustomerpremises. As a copper-to-fiber media converter, the IE-MiniFiberLinX-IIallows low-cost copper switches to connect to the fiber line.Offering unparalleled flexibility, the it supports multiple fibertypes includingmulti-modeandsingle-modeaswellas single-strand fiber, doubling the capacity of installed fiber. CoarseWavelengthDivisionMultiplexing(CWDM)functionalityisalsoanoption.
The IE-MiniFiberLinX-II comes equipped with one 100 Mbpsfiber port for data andmanagement, one10/100 twistedpairport for customer data, as well as an RS-232 port for localconfigurationontheunitduringinstallation.
TheIE-MiniFiberLinX-IIsupportsmultiplepoweringoptions.UsetheincludedACpoweradapterorusetheDCterminalblock.Additionally, the IE-MiniFiberLinX-II with Telco Power modelssupport -48 VDC office batteries that are commonly used inTelcoapplications*.AlsocompliantwiththeIEEE802.3afPowerover Ethernet standard, the IE-MiniFiberLinX-II can functionasaPoweredDevice (PD) todrawpowerwhenconnected to802.3af-compliantPowerSourcingEquipment(PSE).
