Before Using the deviceThank you for purchasing the IDLV-3000P Professional Integrated Receiver Decoder. This User Manual is written for operators/users of the IDLV-3000P to assist in installation and operation. Please read this user manual carefully before installation and use of the device.

foR yoUR SafeTyThis equipment is provided with a protective earthing ground incorporated in the power cord. The main plug shall only be inserted in a socket outlet provided with a protective earth contact. Any interruption of the protective conductor, inside or outside the device, is likely to make the device dangerous. Do not remove the covers of this equipment. Hazardous voltages are present within this equipment and may be exposed if the covers are removed. Only Inverto trained and approved service engineers are permitted to service this equipment.

The supplied AC power cable must be used to power the device. If the power cord becomes damaged it must be replaced. No operator serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to Inverto trained and approved service engineers. For the correct and safe use of the device, it is essential that both operating and servicing personnel follow generallyacceptedsafetyproceduresinadditiontothesafetyprecautionsspecifiedinthismanual.Wheneveritis likely that safety protection is impaired, the device must be made in-operative and secured against unintended operation. The appropriate servicing authority must be informed. For example, safety is likely to be impaired if the device fails to perform the intended measurements or shows visible damage.

overviewThe IDLV-3000P is a professional digital receiver decoder platform with CI interface. IDLV-3000P can receive digital satellite TV (DVB-S), cable TV (DVB-C) or terrestrial TV (DVB-T) signal. The IDLV-3000P platform contains the following series:

IDLV-3000P-10 series provides two CI slots, A/V outputs without ASI output;•IDLV-3000P-18 series decodes free-to-air TV and provides A/V and ASI outputs;•IDLV-3000P-20 series provides two CI slots, A/V and ASI output;•IDLV-3000P-30 series provides two CI slots, A/V outputs, ASI output and ASI input interface. •

The IDLV-3000P-30S receives the QPSK signal, demodulates it to output ASI baseband transport stream •toaDVBMPEG-2multiplexer.ThemultiplexerfiltersorrefreshesthePIDsoftheselectedprograms,and rebuild the EPG, SI and other necessary tables.The IDLV-3000P-30S receives the QPSK satellite signal, demodulates it and outputs ASI baseband •transport stream to QAM modulator. Basic functionsThe following describes the basic functions of your IDLV-3000P while watching satellite TV programs or listening to broadcasts.

Select ChannelToselectchannels,usethe▲▼keysofthefrontpanel.Alternatively, while watching, press the OK key. A channel list will be displayed on the right side of the screen. Press▲▼keystomovethroughthelistfromuptodown.TheOKkeywillconfirmyourselection.IfyoupressESC key, the list will disappear.

Channel InformationEvery time you change channels, you will receive short-form program information for approximately 6 seconds. Ifyouwanttocheckdetailedchannelinformation,youcouldpress◄keywhilewatchingorwhileShiftindicator(Yellow) is on. If you press ESC key, the information will disappear.

Volume ControlWhileSHIFTindicatorisoffandwatching,youcouldpress◄►keysofthefrontpaneltocontrolvolume.Notify: The IRD has 18 volume grades, while tuning volume, the LED of the front panel will display a respective value from 0 to 17.

Audio ControlWhileSHIFTindicatorisoffandwatching,press▲keytoswitchaudiolanguage,press▼keytoswitchaudiochannel, you will receive short-form audio information for approximately 6 seconds.

TV/Radio switchingWhileSHIFTindicatorisonandwatching,press►keytoswitchTVmodeandBroadcastingmode.Note:Pressing►keyfor2seconds,theSHIFTindicatorwillbe“ON”or“OFF”.

Menu operationsConnecttheIDLV-3000Ptothepowersourceafterinstallationandcableconnection.Inafirsttimeoperationof the unit, the main menu will automatically be displayed. Subsequent to the initial operation, when the unit is powered up, the last channel information will be displayed. The main menu can then be accessed by pressing the MENU key of the front panel.

This Main Page menu consists of 4 primary sub menu items:

Channel Manager: Edit or delete programs.•Installation:Setantennaparameters,searchingchannel,andrestorefactorydefaultconfiguration.•Option Menu: Setting system parameters, antenna position and viewing IRD information. •Common Interface: Checking status of common interface and setting descrambling mode. •

Notes:The◄►keysletyoumovefromlefttorighttoanyitemwithinthemenu,the▲▼keysletyoumovefrom•uptodowntoanyitemwithinthemenu,pressingOKkeytoconfirmandpressingESCkeytoexit.For the items with • ◄► mark,the◄►keysletyoumodifyparameters,orpressOKkeytodisplaythelist, then select correct parameters in the list. For the items with • mark, use the ►keytodisplaythenumerickeypad,thenpressthe▲▼keystomovetonumbers,usethe◄►keystoselectcorrectnumber,andpressOKtoconfirmselection,use▲▼keystoselect“OK”tomakefinalconfirmationofmodifiedparameters,ortoselect“Cancel”tocanceltheinput data.

Channel Manager

The Channel Manager consists of two items: TV Channel•Radio Channel •

The functions related to the Radio Channel are the same as that for TV Channel, this manual will only detail the TV Channel manager.Select a TV Channel from the Main Page and press OK, the TV Channel Manager is displayed. On the left side of the TV Channel menu you can see the channel list, on the right side, you can view the current channel in the Picture in Graphic (PIG) mode (1/9 size of the normal screen size.) as well as channel information under the PIG screen. When you move from one channel to another, the PIG will change accordingly.

In the TV Channel Manager, you can delete TV channels by using Delete Channel command. To delete a channel, select the TV channel you want to delete using the ▲▼ keys and press OK. An“X”marksthechannelthatwillbedeleted.RepeatthisprocedureforotherTVChannelsyoumaywanttodelete.(Tode-selectanymarkedTVchannelselectitandpressOK,the“X”willberemoved).

Ifyoudecidetodeletethemarkedchannels,pressESC.Amessage“Areyousuretodeletemarkedchannels”isdisplayed.Select“OK”or“Cancel”inthemessageboxandthenpresstheOKkeytomakesureyouroperation.PressESCtoexittheMainMenu,amessageisdisplayed“Savingdata…”.After the data has been saved, you could view the channel list to check if the delete operation was successful.

Notes:The deleted channel cannot be recovered unless you start a Channel Search again. •Pleasedonotpoweroffwhenthemessage“Savingdata…”isdisplayed.•

InSTaLLaTIonIDLV-3000P-xxS

Antenna Setting1. Antenna (LNB): Each antenna/LNB corresponds to a satellite.

2. Satellite: The name of the satellite which corresponds to the antenna/LNB. 3. LNB Type: Select your LNB type, there are three options.

Normal: Single Polarization LNBF •Universal: Dual-pol. (Universal) LNB •LNBF: Dual-pol. C-band LNB •

4. LNB Freq.: When LNB type changes, the frequency of LNB changes accordingly. You could input frequencyusing numeric keys. IDLV-3000P supports two LNB local frequencies, if the channel couldn’t be searched with

firstlocalfrequency,itwillautomaticallysearchthechannelwithsecondlocalfrequency.

5. Switches(22KHz,DiSEqC):YoucouldselecttheswitcheswithwhichyouwanttoconfiguretheantennaPressESCtofinishantennasetting,themessage“AreyousuretochangetheconfigurationofAntennasetup?”will be displayed.SelectOK, press theOK key to confirm it andwait till the updated data has beensaved.

Channel Search1. Antenna: Select the number of the antenna corresponding to the satellite you want to scan.

Note: On the right side of screen, you can see the corresponding parameters of the selected satellite, if it is not correct, you can modify it under Antenna Setting.

2. Transponder: Use◄►keystoselectthedesiredTP,ormovetothenewTPitem,youcouldedittheparametersofthisTP.

3. Frequency & Symbol Rate: Edit the frequency and symbol rate. If the default values couldn’t meet your requirement, you can set the satellite parameters manually.

4. Polarization: Select H or V.

5. ChannelSearch:Aftersettingthesatelliteparameters,youcouldpress◄►keystoselectsearchoptions:SearchSAT:Searchallpre-definedchannelsfortheselectedsatellite.•Search TP: Search all channels for one TP, which has been selected from the TP list. •Search Network: Search channels on the network related to the selected TP. •You could use it to search new satellite channel.

How to search:After setting the parameters, move the cursor to the search column, choose your desired search option, then press OK to start searching. During the scanning procedure you can see a list of the previously searched channels in the Searched List Box onthescreen.Oncompletionofsearchingchannels,youcouldmovecursortoselect“VIEW”or“EXIT”.

6. In Channel Search, press Menu key, the following submenu will be displayed: Setting PID•Delete TP•Search Options•

(1)SetPID:SetPID(PacketIdentifier)manuallywith“SetPID”command:MovetotheTransponderitemandpressMenukeytodisplaytheCommandbox,select“SetPID”commandandpressOK,themenu“SetPID”willbedisplayed,youcaninputyourdataandpresstheOKkeytoconfirmit.IftheSetPIDoperationissuccessful,youwillseeanewprogramnamed“PID-XXXX”inthechannellist,the“XXXX”isthecorrespondingVideoPID.

(2) Delete TP: Move to the Transponder you want to delete, press Menu Key to display the Command Box, thenselect“DeleteTP”Command,themessage“AreyousuretodeletethisTP?”willbedisplayed,select“OK”andpressOKkeytoconfirmit.

(3) Search Options: provides convenient options for channel searching, you could serach FTA channels only orAll channels.

Channel Search1. No.: Each no. corresponds to a frequency.2. Frequency: Input the frequency to be scanned.3. Symbol Rate: Input the symbol rate to be used during the channel search.4. Modulation Mode: Choose modulation mode.

InChannelSearchmenu,whenthesetparametersfitthoseofthesourcesignal,thebarindicatorsofsignalstrength and quality will become red, and the values of current strength and quality will be displayed.

Use◄►keystoselect“SearchTP”afterparametersareset.IDLV-3000P-xxCsearchesforTVandradiochannels automatically. During searching, you can see a list of the previously searched channels in the Searched ListBoxonthescreen.Whenchannelsearchiscompleted,thecursorwillbemovedto“VIEW”automatically,then press OK key to watch the program.

How to search:After setting the parameters, move cursor to the search column, choose your desired search option. Then press OK to begin searching.

During searching procedure, you can see a list of the previously searched channels in the Searched List Box on thescreen.Oncompletionofthechannelsearch,youcanmovecursortoselect“VIEW”or“EXIT”.

(2) Delete TP: Move to the Transponder you want to delete, press the Menu Key to display the Command Box,thenselect “DeleteTP”Command, themessage“Areyousure todelete thisTP?”willbedisplayed,select“OK”andpresstheOKkeytoconfirmdeletion.

(3) Search Options: Providing convenient options to search channels, you could search for FTA channels only orAll channels.

Factory DefaultIfyouwanttorestoretheIDLV-3000P’sdefaultconfiguration,select“FactoryDefault”andpressOKkey.The warning message will be displayed. If you are sure of your operation, select OK and press OK key.

Note: Once back to factory default settings, you will lose all of data and information, which was previously installed.

Antenna Direction HelpIt provides an antenna direction help function, with which you could get correct information to direct your antenna toward a satellite.

Steps:1. First select your desired satellite name, and the location information of selected satellite will be displayed.

In case the location of the satellite has been changed, you can re-set the new location.

The IDLV 3000P has 2 CI slots, you should select the suitable CI module (CAM) and Smart Card corresponding to the scrambled program.

Note: Please pay attention to the interface direction of the CI Module and Smart Card, it should be inserted to slot with correct direction and it should not be pluged arbitrarily.

Descrambling OptionsMulti-channel descrambling Option depends on the CI module: Typically, only the professional CI Module support multi-channel descrambling.Using this function, you could descramble multiple scrambled programs in a stream with ASI output. 2 or more or all programs in the stream are decrypted.

Single Channel: decrypting one channel in the multi-program-stream with general CI Module.•Multiple Channel: It is only available when the professional CI Module supports multi-descrambling •function and the Smart Card has multi-program authorization, then 2 or more or all programs in the stream are decrypted.

Note: Please refer to 6.2 CI multiple channel descrambling. Slot1 Designation Channel: If Slot1 hasn’t been designated to one channel, the CI Module of Slot1 will descramble the currently viewed channel; If it has been designated to one channel, the CI Module of Slot1 will only descramble the designated channel.

When viewing a Free-to-Air satellite program, the ASI stream of this program will be output at the same •time, it could serve as a signal resource when it is connected to QAM Modulator or Multiplexer. For scrambled programs, you should insert corresponding CI Module and CA Smart Card to descramble •the program, then you could view the descrambled programs and the transport stream including the descrambled program can be output at the same time.

Note: You could choose the output stream as descrambled or scrambled. Enter system setting menu, set the ASI output to Descrambled or Scrambled. (Please refer to the chapter on System Setting)

CI MULTIChanneL DeSCRaMBLIng (on IDLV-3000P-10/ -20/ -30 SeRIeS)

There are 2 methods to descramble multi-channel and output the transport stream with multi-channel descrambled.

Method 1:1. Insert professional CI Module that supports multi program descrambling and a respective CA smart card with

multi CA authorization.2. Entersystemsettingmenu,settheASIoutputto“Descramble”(PleaserefertothechapteronSystem Setting).3. Setthedescrambleoptionto“MultiChannel”,andsetthedesignationchannelofSlot1andSlot2to“None”.

(Please refer to the chapter on Descramble option.)

4. Exit Main Menu and back to view mode, press OK key to select the channel which you want to descramble,wait for a while, it will play the selected channel, then select another program which you want to descramble, then the IRD should output the stream with multi descrambled channels.

Note:1. The number of services that can descrambled simultaneously depends on the CAM used.2. The Multiple services must be transmitted over the same transponder.

Method 2:5. CI Modules and Smart Cards have to be inserted in Slot1 and Slot2.6. EntertheSystemSettingmenu,settheASIoutputto“Descramble”.(PleaserefertothechapteronSystem Setting)7. SettheDescrambleoptionto“SingleChannel”,andsetthedesignationchannelofSlot1andSlot2tobethe channel that you want to descramble. (Please refer to the chapter on Descramble Option).8. Exit Main Menu and back to View mode, press OK key to select the channel which you want to descramble,

and wait for a while, the selected channel will be played, then select another channel which you want to descramble, a transport stream with the two designated descrambled channels should be output.

Note: The Multiple Channels must be from the same transponder.

aSI InPUT fUnCTIon (aVaILaBLe on IDLV-3000P-30 SeRIeS)

The IRD provides and ASI input interface port supporting a scrambled or descrambled ASI stream. It can then output the ASI stream as well as decoded AV video signal.

The IRD can receive ASI stream from various equipment. •Cascading in series the ASI OUT of one receiver to the ASI IN of a second IRD, allow for a greater number •of channels to be descrambled and to save external remultiplexing equipment.

Method: Enter the System Setting menu, set the signal resource to ASI. (Please refer to the chapter on System Setting.)

4. Warranty periodThe warranty period of the Product is 24 months. The warranty period for the Product starts at the day of purchase (purchase invoice date) of the Customer, and in case of a resale by the Company Reseller not more than 45 days after the production date marked on the Product.This Limited Warranty extends only to the original end-user purchaser of the Product and is not transferable to anyone who obtains ownership of the Product from the original end-user purchaser.

Limited Warranty ExclusionsThis Warranty with respect to the Customer’s Product is subject to the following exclusions:(i) Failure or damage resulting from misuse (including but not limited to use of any Product capacity or capability, other than thatauthorizedby theCompany inwriting),accident,modification,unsuitablephysicaloroperatingenvironment, or improper maintenance by the Customer; (ii) Failure caused by a Product for which the Company is not responsible; (iii) Any non-Company Products, including those provided with, or installed on, a Company Product at the Customer request; (iv) Accessories, supply items and consumables (e.g. batteries), and structural parts (e.g. frames and covers); (v) Service of Product alterations; (vi) Service of a Product on which the Customer is using capacity or capability, other than that authorized by the Company in writing;(vii) Any Product not manufactured by or for the Company, or sold to an end-user in a country not covered under this Warrant

(viii) Loss of any, or damage to, programs, data, or storage media. The Company may opt to replace the Product submitted for warranty services and, thus, any data stored on the original Product may become permanently inaccessible.ThisLimitedWarrantyisvoidedbyremovaloralterationofidentificationlabelsontheProductoritsparts.Any technical or other support provided for aProduct underwarranty, suchas, “How to” questionsand thoseregarding the product set-up and installation, is provided WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Service during the warranty periodIn the event the Product is found to be defective within the warranty period, Customer’s sole and exclusive remedy and the entire liability of the Company under this Limited warranty will be, at the Company or its Service Center, at its option: (1) Repair the Product by means of remote support such as, but not limited to, telephone, email support.(2) Upon the product return to the party supplying it to the Customer, freight an insurance prepaid - repair or replace any defective Product or parts of the Product thereof covered by the Warranty with new or factory-refurbished Products or parts that are equal to new products in performance.

7. To get the Limited Warranty serviceIn the event that a warranty service is required, you should contact your specialist dealer or the point of sale. Warrantee claims cannot be made directly to the company - Inverto Digital Labs. You should therefore keep your salesreceiptasproofofpurchase.TheCompanyrecommendstheCustomerfirstutilizesupportmaterialshippedwith the product, product diagnostics, information contained on the Web, and online support on http://www.inverto.tv/support.If unsuccessful to obtain service under this warranty, the Customer must notify the Company Technical Support or its authorized Service Center representative of the defect before the expiration of the warranty period. Customers will provide appropriate assistance to the Telephone Support personnel to resolve issues. If the technical support is unsuccessful, The Company or its authorized Service representative will instruct the customer on how to receive warranty repair. If the Customer does not know of a Company authorized service center for the Company’s product, it should contact the reseller. If the reseller is an authorized service center, they will arrange for repair.If the Customer reseller is not a Company authorized Product’s service center, they will direct the customer to an authorized service center.
