Identity Meaning of “ 独一无二” The one and only!

Reasons I translate “Identity” into “ 独一无二” 1. The symbol that one is the only in the world (like the ID card).

2. A kind of superiority.

3. A precious and unique idiosyncrasy that one has and which is different with anyone else.

UNESCO, the abbreviation of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, which aims to promote universal agreements on emerging ethical issues and helping Member States to build their human and institutional capacities in diverse fields. Through that way, identity can be shaped by other countries’ respect and support.

2. On this web page of UNESCO, some field projects can be found, which contributes to education, economy, technology and other relevant fields in different countries, esp. those belong to the third world. From those projects, not only definition and theory of identity can be learned, but also helpful practice can be studied.
