‘ICT Project Manager’ in Semantic Technology and Linked Open Data

European Commission, the European Parliament, leading B2B publishers and other

In order to manage our ever increasing portfolio of projects we need a junior project

manager. You will maintain visibility on top of all projects and report to senior

management. This in a challenging environment where the future of the internet (the

semantic web) is being built. Since we value independence you need basic knowledge

about these technologies.

More specifically you will:

—Make sure that the projects are managed according to the TenForce process for

planning, resources and budgets.

— Gather and report status on the projects

—Manage 1 or more projects of your own.

— Assist senior project managers if required.

— Supported by the architects prepare you own view and judgment on the

projects..

Required skills and competences:

— 3 to 5 years experience in a project management position.

— Fluent in English and any other language of the following: Dutch, French,

German.

— Experience with using MS Excel and MS Project for project management. You

will be using the TenForce project management software too. See http://

— Experience within at least 2 of the following technical domains: semantic

technology, linked open data, semantic web, web development, search

technology, language technology.

— Bachelor or master degree in computer science, software engineering or a

related field.

— Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

— Able to prioritize and manage project work
