ICT Management for Global Competitiveness and Economic Growth in Emerging EconomiesWrocław, Poland, September 17-18,

2012 Fast growing emerging economies, including

transition economies, are often considered the growth engine of the global economy. Unfortunately, despite the fast growth of emerging economies, the economic gap between emerging economies and the mature, developed countries still exists. It seems that in order to truly close this gap, new management techniques, new business models, and new regulatory policies, among other factors are needed. Moreover, it could be expected that information and communication technologies (ICTs) will play a vital role in this process.
