What is the ICPC?

• ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest sponsored by IBM with headquarters at Baylor.

• Oldest and largest programming competition for the world’s universities and colleges.

• Annual events on four levels: Internet, local, regional, and World Finals.

• Teams of 3 students with 1 computer against 10-12 real world problems that they must solve within five hours.

• They solve them by writing software solutions that meet the testing and expectation of judges.

What is the CLI?

Bill Poucher, CII Principle Investigator

Jeff Donahoo, CLI R&D Director & CII Co-Principle Investigator

Bill Booth, CLI Symposium Chief Editor

The Collaborative Learning Institute (CLI) seeks to strengthen and grow the global pool of problem solvers in the computing sciences and related fields by extending the benefits of competitive collaborative learning to the virtual world.

The CLI engages and removes obstacles for developing, inventing, applying, and providing global enterprise technologies to create opportunity for and raise the aspirations of the next generation by developing teamwork, prowess, and programming skills in a challenging, encouraging, relationship-rich environment.
