Hip Hop• Hip Hop music tends to be set in urban locations which may be run
down or rough. Low angles are often used to enable the audience to feel like the artist is superior and powerful. Stereotypically the attire for these artists is casual, with jeans and hoodies being most common. Furthermore it has a strong link to partying, smoking, alcohol, drugs, girls and money which is featured on a regular basis in the lyrics.
Pop• Typically the Pop genre music videos are very similar, generally
consisting with catchy lyrics, a dance routine and overall a very performance based video. The lead singer in the song is almost always featured in the video, wearing very eye catching attire with bold makeup. The overall lighting and tone of these videos is very bright making it extremely up beat.
Rock• Rock music tends to have a very low and dark tone to give the video
an edgy look. The videos are generally very performance based with the band usually performing in the background, it rarely includes any dancing or narrative. A typical convention would be seeing guitarists jumping around during a live performance with lots of enthusiasm and energy. Those is the band will tend to have loads of tattoos and piercings as well as wearing generally dark (black) clothes
