    The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established underthe Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 for the regulation of the profession of CharteredAccountants in India. During its more than six decades of existence, ICAI has achievedrecognition as a premier accounting body not only in the country but also globally, for itscontribution in the fields of education, professional development, maintenance of highaccounting, auditing and ethical standards. ICAI now is the second largest accounting bodyin the world.

    COMMITTEE FOR MEMBERS ININDUSTRY (CMII)

    The Committee for Members in Industry (CMII)is a Non- Standing Committee of ICAI out oftotal 33 Non- Standing Committees of ICAI.CMII is working relentlessly for thebenefits of the Members in Industry inparticular and Members of theInstitute as whole in general from 1983.Out of the current strength of the

    Members, 57% members are inIndustry and they have beenoccupying prominent positions such asCMDs, CEOs of PSUs and MNCs, both inIndia and abroad.

    CMII has been acting as vigorous platformbetween Chartered Accountants in Industryand the Institute and is putting extensive andintensive efforts to enhance the brand image ofIndian CAs as most competent accounting,auditing and management professionals acrossthe globe.

    MISSION

    To encourage and enhance close linksbetween the Institute and the CharteredAccountants working in industries in

    various capacities so as to provide for them,a base of reference in terms of knowledge,

    expertise, skills and assistance in individualcareer growth through the development of extensive

    and intensive relationship with organisations, agenciesof the Governments, Departments and Ministries of theCentral and State Governments in such manner as to providethe maximum possible exposures to the world of trade,commerce, industry and Governance, while simultaneouslypursuing the goal of providing the maximum ofemployment opportunities.

    OBJECTIVES

    To organise campus interviews for newly qualified Chartered Accountants seeking employment through theInstitute.

    To explore and develop new avenues of employment for Members in Industry.

    To provide sector specific assistance in improvement of skills of Members in Industry.

    To consider the problems and issues pertaining to the career planning, ethics and other related matters of theMembers in Industry.

    To popularise the Placement Portal of the Institute.To bring out background materials/publications relevant for Members in Industry.

    To organise programmes on the topics relevant to the Members in Industry.

    To develop a sector-wise data bank of the Members in Industry and continue to develop their involvement in themainstream of the Institute.

    To encourage and recognise the Corporate entrepreneurs of our profession i.e., Corporate MDs, Chairmen,Presidents, etc. in Industry.

    To consider the ways and means to enhance the participation of the Members in Industry in the activities of theInstitute.

    ABOUT CORPORATE CONCLAVE

    Honorarium

    The Committee for Members in Industry isorganising Outreach Programme in the Corporateshaving more than 25 Chartered Accountants. ICAIcomes to campus of Corporates having more than

    25 Chartered Accountants and does half day or fullday programme free for members. The Outreach programme has been conceived withthe idea of bringing the Members in Industry closer to ICAI.

    During 2012-2013 (till now), the Committee has organized Fifth, Sixth and Seventh CMIIoutreach programme in the premises of Credit Suisse India Pvt. Ltd. ((Hinjawadi, PhaseII Wipro Complex, Pune) at Pune, Allcargo Logisctics Limited (5th Floor, Avashya House, CST Road, Kalina,santacruz (E)) at Mumbai and Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (Kalpa Vriksha Learning Center,Plot NoA-1 & A-2, GIDC Electronic Estate, Sector-25, Gandhinagar, Gujarat -382016)

    We request the Corporate having more than 25 Chartered Accountants to consider organizing Outreachprogramme in their organization.

    marketing, finance, HRD, General Management,b. Accounting and Auditing issues,c. Direct and Indirect taxes etc.,
