CONTENTSeditor introduction

This month we decided a change was in order!

That is why you are reading this magazine and probably wondering why on earth the pages are a lot wider than before. You see when we got this issues three feature cars together for a shoot, we decided the landscape oriented photos were just too good to shorten down for portrait pages.

So voila! Welcome to "The Landscape Issue". It's got a better layout than previous issues and higher quality photos than previous issues too.

We love to hear your feedback so please do contact myself (bizaboy / Andy 'Gutzy Pilcher [Facebook]) or the club owner (c3ptik / Andy Conway [Facebook]) and we will see what can be done to make the magazine suit the viewers even more!

Enjoy!

Wheel Whores 4oz Premium Wheel WaxLegends that are Wheel Whores, have released a new range of top cleaning gear! Headlining this is their Premium Wheel Wax! 12 months in development it is based on natural materials and offers extreme wheel gloss protection!£19.99 plus postage

Go Pro Hero 3 Black Edition from £270My toy of choice for Christmas came in the form of one of these increasingly popular little pieces of kit. This is the latest and highest spec unit from the boffins at Go Pro, boasting a smaller, lighter frame than its predecessor and a huge array of capture modes to suit everyone’s needs.

It’s capable of stunning 1080p hd video at 60fps and other resolutions available with up 240fps, although this is at the expense of battery life, this can make from some epic super slo-mo shots. Although video is the Go Pro’s forte, it can produce pin sharp 12mp still images that can rival the quality of some entry level dslr’s.

So far I’ve found it very simple to use. Comprehensive and simple instructions can be downloaded from Go Pro’s website explaining all the functions of the camera. The list of uses is endless; the supplied casing is shockproof and water resistant to 60m. A collection of attachments are needed to get the best from this gadget and many are exclusive to Go Pro at premium prices. Considering a simple tripod mount is an added extra, this does mean that you will be spending a fair chunk of your hard earned to use the camera to its full potential, and they aren’t cheap to begin with.

In my short ownership of the camera overall I’m extremely impressed with it. Its ease of use is very rewarding. I would recommend this camera to anyone wanting a powerful compact device capable of professional grade video capture. The price may be high, but it is not an investment you will regret once you have the attachments you need to film your extreme antics. - Stealthrider

SEAT have had a sporty Ibiza in production since 1984, 29 years on and five faces later we decided it was about time we got three generations of sporty SEATs together!

We hand picked three of the finest! All chosen for the same reason; they represent fantastic performance twinned with gorgeous looks and daily driver practicality.

We have a painters pride and joy Mk2 GTi, Neil the hybrid turbo orange Mk3 Cupra and a perfectly stanced 201hp Mk4 20vT Cupra.

They all travelled a long way to be here, so proceed and enjoy!

"perfect paint"This copper beauty is Chris' pride and joy. Painter by trade Chris took on the GTI's paintwork tweaks himself; most striking being the custom bonnet design. It's suprisingly subtle, from the wrong angle you could easily miss it, get up close however and the stunning attention to detail is revealed.

The five spokes gracing the arches have also received a dose of paint, using the gorgeous copper of the car to add a special twist.

It's not just the paintwork thats been worked with on this Mk2 though, some serious droppage courtesy of TA Technixs coilovers wound all the way down remove any hint of arch gappage!

The coilovers provide such lows that they actually caused the car to become temporarily stranded in the unit Chris fitted them in.

The interior blends old school charm with new age tech; a fantastic ICE system sorts out the tunes, while the unique PacMan headlining adds to the old school flavour.

When you read the list of mods you realise that what looks like a simply well sorted Mk2, has actually had a lot of time and effort put into it! Smoothed bumpers, tinted lights and, Chris' favourite mod, the T4 wing vent all feature in the compilation of unique one off parts that tie this epic Mk2 together! More is planned so we may see this car making a return very soon with a host of new bits...

"neil!"Subtle is not a word we can use to describe this Mk3. It couldn't be more in your face if had naked ladies airbrushed on the side.

Yes this is Neil! The love-child of a rabid hybrid turbo Mk3 and a tangerine. Mike is the onwner of all this madness, only just mind you, as little Neil was up for sale a short time ago! Thankfully Mike saw sense and decided to keep it and make his motor even better!

So that orange paint, Mike and a few of his mates did the respray themselves and it's Mike's favourite mod on the car! It certainly stands out, but its the level of the finish that amazes, you'd think it came out of the factory "GT3 orange". The fresh orange blends epically with the bare carbon roof too!

The orange beauty rolls around on some 17" 8J deep dish rims with stretched Nankang rubber. Dosed up with a few degrees of negative camber; the stance of this Mk3 couldn't be more aggressive.

Thankfully, it backs up those mental looks with a mental engine build. Featuring a a hybrid turbo, forged rods and a Stage 2 remap our Neil has headline figures of 280hp and 232ft lbs of torque! Plenty of go to accompany the dramatic show.

An awesome package of extreme visual mods, epic performance upgrades and daily usability make this one of the most sorted Mk3's we've ever seen.

And definately the most eye catching!

"stanced daily"Luke is the proud owner of this remarkabley well thought out Mk4 Cupra.

Being a daily driver, going for the race car stripped out interior and rock hard suspension was never an option. So Luke decided to chuck a host of styling tweaks at this 20vT and create a kick-ass daily ride.

The Mk4 is graced with some pretty gorgeous lines straight from the factory. Unfortunately it is also graced with the ride height of a tractor, thankfully Luke has sorted this with a set of AP coilovers! Employing 10mm front and 20mm rear spacers , the stance is at perfection levels! This thing looks violent! So it had better have some power to back it up...

And of course it does! Again, Luke couldn't go too crazy in fear or making his daily...unusable as a daily...thus defeating the point, however it does now pack an uprated intake and cold air feed, plus a CC Tuning Stage 1 remap. Enough to pump the Cupra up to 201hp and over 230ft lbs of torque, theres plenty of oomph behind this dazzling red gem.

Subtle bodywork tweaks help the car stand out amonst other Mk4's and just enhance the already eye-catching looks.

Luke has confessed to loving the way it sits now, however the words "alloys" and "Plasti Dip" have been mentioned, which could bring the looks to an epic new level! We get the feeling this Cupra is on a path to even more dramatic looks...and even more go.

Well I decided enough was enough with the Lenso's. I miss them already but they don't stand a chance of clearing a big brake kit, so they had to go.

However I wasn't keen on the standard Cupra wheels, given the absence of a Cupra bodykit. They needed something special to make them both stand out, and blend in at the same time. That, was Plast Dip!

A weekend of working in the garage with several cans of Matte Black and voila! New life for the little Cupra's! Now there was just one other Cupra related item that needed attention...the engine! You see when my funds dried up around November, my baby was dumped on the driveway to fester; there she sat for 3 months. I needed a fix for the unreliable starting issue. And the answer to that, was welding cable! I ordered a length of some thick-ass high quality welding cable to reconnect the rear mounted battery to the engine. Touch wood it has done the trick! She fired up first time and has been busy making me fall in love with her all over again!
