• Ibans are a branch of the Dayak peoples of Borneo.

• In Malaysia,most Ibans are located in Sarawak• They speak the Iban language.• Mostly Iban’s people live long house.

• Gawai dayak Day is celebrate to regrate their lord because have gave them sustenance.

Gendang Engkerumung

•Made from wood•There was a hole in the middle of wood•Then the hole of the wood is covered by animal skin.

•Made from small pot.•I set contain of 8 ‘Engkerumung in 1 rack.

•important traditional music performed by the Iban community in Sarawak.•the Gendang Rayah is only allowed to be played during religious festivals.

IBAN’S TRADITIONAL DANCE

What is ngajat ?• Originated from the Iban

community• Has been passed down from

generation to generation.• Performed to celebrate the most

important harvest festival, Gawai Dayak.

•Men dancers are called ‘Keling’.•Women dancers are called ‘ Kumang’.

Conclusion

Every race have different and it also have uniqueness culture. For Iban’s race, they also have some unique culture. In term of dance, Ibans have Ngajat. They also have unique cloths which called ‘Ngepan’ and ‘Sirat’. The conclusion is we have to appreciate every culture.
