ever sense and in the title role Miss Neville gives her greatest impersonation the week in the part of Leah She has created a perfect furore in every city where she has played it and she is ably seconded by the management- in making this a feature performance- as no expense has been spared in fur nishing special and beautiful scenery and effects for this production New and bright specialties will continue- to be seen each night and a special matinee will be given tomorrow at which the great Comedy drama A Womans Revenge will be the offer ing SI STEBBINS Vhere is much that is quaint and grandjury of Fayette county has Judge James Hargis County fudge of Breathitt county Ed of that county Alexander Hargis exSenator from that Senatorial district Elbert Har gis the County Judge and exSenator and Jesse Spicer a Deputy under Sheriff Callahan for conspiringto kill James Cockrill City Marshal of Jackson who was shot from the court house window in Jackson two years ago The in- dictment is found by the grand jury of Fayette the statute of Ed- ward VI J giving jurisdiction to a court in eiiiher the county in which a crime was iegun or in which it was finished Cockrell was shot in Breathitt county where the if there was a conspiracy was formed arid the crime begun and died in county so that under this statute the court in either county has jurisdiction William Britton now on in the Fayette Circuit Court is as far we know the first man who has ever been indicted and tried this statute LATER REPORT Chief of Walter Marshall went to Jackson with bench warrants- to arrest five men indicted and upon his there found that a them and refused to let Marshall the prisoners He wired back to the officers of the Fayette Circuit Court and received the following reply 1 Breathitt county warrants should not prevent you In serving the war rants you have Arrest the men if possible without bloodshed or report to this court why you have not served the warrants The supposition is that the Breath itt county warrants were hurridly prepared served in order to head off the Fayette officers and prevent that court from taking jurisdiction of the case OGUIJS Dr HJ C
