L . Weather Conditions
Weather seaaditiens during the period will be found in thisseetie& of the Back Day lerrative . NO weather station ismaintained at Maeksy Island Rciup .
The prolonged wet sand dry periods, along with the high windsis September and October, caused considerable erep less inthis area . Not weather at tins of harvest esused furtherless when *reps ready for pinking oould net be brought in .
B . Habitat Conditions
1 . Water
Water levels rormaiasd at a high enough stage duringmra jer waterfowl oeaeentrstiens to flood aueh of ourmarsh. Generally, dopt&s ranged from 1-4" which madefooting senditiens excellent .
We do net as yet have say gauges at lbsksy nor do wehave saay water oextrel structures for holding waterin any particular area. The siltatiea of many of ourditches will held sear water in the ponds when oxoessivodrops are tend o ssido the refuge. Water levels withinthe refuge are directly controlled by the winds .
2 . Feed and Cover
Although the flooded marshes wentioned above combinedwith the burning parogrsn provided excellent feedingconditions for snag goes , sand puddle ducks, burnedmarsh in ether areas pulled most of our birds outduring the early portions of the yin+ During winterand spring, the fauna area of rye brewso at Live OakFeint received 100% atilisatlen by Canadian Goose,
