I can relate to Theroux's complaints about manliness, I can remember times if I would cry for something and someone would just say "suck it up and be a man." Also, when guys like something people view as feminine they are called “fags” and other derogatory insults. If someone did anything something that wasn't traditionally manly, they would be criticized. I agree how it's stupid and appalling how men view masculinity as acting like idiots. Even though I see that we have to deal with gender based hardships in our life, women I feel tend to have to deal with a harder life than what males have to.
