Wednesday Evening Classes—7PM—8:30PM “Isaiah: God Saves Sinners” (By Raymond C. Orlund, Jr., R. Kent Hughes) Part 2 Isaiah is widely considered the deepest, richest, and most theologically significant book in the Old Testament. It is, without question, a profound statement by God about His own sovereignty and majesty spoken through His chosen spokesman, the prophet Isaiah. Rigg White—Room W-9—Coed “Introduction to Biblical Counseling” What is biblical counseling? Is the Bible really sufficient for dealing with the serious problems of life? These questions and others will be explored in this course which is designed to provide an introduction to true biblical counseling. The required book is “Counseling” (By John MacArthur and Faculty of the Masters College)
Joe Trofemuk & Steve Traum—Room W-11—Coed “Fundamentals of the Faith” (Starts February 6th) Thirteen lessons which blend basic biblical truths with personal obedience and service. Many young believers take these classes to grow in their understanding of biblical truths. Robert fraire—Room W-10—Coed “Prayer Warriors” Pray for various ministries, missionaries, personal needs and requests of our church family. Les duran—Library—Coed
Men’s Friday Morning Study—January 19th—May 9th, 2008—6:15AM “The Gospel for Real Life” (By Jerry Bridges) The gospel of Jesus Christ is the door to eternal life, but what difference does it make once we’re inside God’s kingdom? Jerry Bridges says the gospel is the very lifeblood of our walk with God day by day. It is the key to our salvation, for sure, but it is also the power for our daily progress in holiness. MORNING WORSHIP
Join A Lakeside Home Fellowship Beginning in January, three new Small Group Home Fellowships will join our already established groups. Each group will meet every other week and will be led by a trained Home Fellowship Leader. The purpose of the Home Fellowships is to provide a context in which sanctification, mutual care, and fellowship can take place. Every Home Fellowship will be studying the same material. Therefore, it will be necessary to purchase the book Why Small Groups? (available at our book table only) in order to participate in this ministry. If you are planning to attend a Home Fellowship, please sign up below and place it in the offering plate. If you are already attending one of the groups there is no need to sign up again.
