Leslie and I went to the ADS Convention at King of Prussia, and had a delightful time, the programs were entertaining and informative, the weather was good, and Longwood and Winthertur are worth the trip to that area. On the way we stopped in Washington and judged at the Washington Society Show, both that and the National show suffered from the extreme hot and dry weather the whole area had this spring, but still the shows were very well filled and some really outstanding flowers.

Plans for the 1986 Convention at the Hilton Airport Inn on Democrat Road in Memphis are nearing completion, and we look forward to having many of you here. Some publicity will go in the September Journal, but we did want to say a word of thanks to the Arkansas State Daffodil Society for foregoing their show to assist with the National Show - this will be a big boost to the show.

We had five shows in the Region this year, and I have reports of all except the Kentucky Show, sorry we won't be able to include the winners in this report.
