HOW TO ‘CAST A SPELL’ WITH MIND POWERBy Jason Mangrum

Spell casting? No, this is not a lesson in witchcraft, new age or the occult. And yet, it unlocks the mysteries to all of those and more.

Arthur C. Clarke once stated, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

And he’s absolutely right. The ability to manipulate the air and manifest fire with the flick of a finger might be considered sorcery by anyone who has never seen a lighter. And the same goes for working with energy, thought and intent to produce a change in reality. Here’s a great example:

Let’s say you want to “manifest” a connection with a new person. Someone who has captured your interest for whatever reason, and you would like to establish a relationship with them.

So, you perform a “spell” using your Mind Power. You write a letter to them. The “tools” for your spell are the paper, the pen, and your intent. Your creative Will. You perform the “ritual” of placing the paper on a flat surface, picking up the pen (your magic wand) and writing the letter by “channeling the spirits to bring forth the message.”

-3-The message comes forth not by thinking, but by inspiration,

which requires relaxation and no-thought for the inspired idea to bubble up to the surface from the abyss of the mind. The spell is then “directed” by sending the letter to the intended recipient, and is “activated” once the person reads it and becomes “charmed” or influenced by the pattern of energy created from the spell, i.e. the letter.

The intended person responds to the letter and a connection is established. A new relationship begins and your spell is fulfilled. This is no different than any other form of magic; anything that causes a change to occur in your reality as a result of your focused Intent (Will) is an act of magic.

Use this knowledge to construct your own “spells” to acquire anything you want.

Symbolize whatever you want to create in your reality and perform a ritual to create a pattern from the energy. Direct it to your target and let it go to obtain a result.

The conscious mind can speak to and command the subconscious by using symbols. When you look at a symbol, you don’t consciously know or remember what the symbol means, but your subconscious retains the information and runs the program.

Once your subconscious believes it is true then your perceptions will shift in such a way as to become aware that the ‘thing’ you wanted to create has appeared in your perceived reality, usually through the phenomenon of Synchronicity or “coincidence.”

You don’t need any particular belief system to cause change to occur in your reality. Regardless of your level of knowledge, skill, or your beliefs, you can cause real changes to occur in your reality using this methodic example as a template. Happy spell casting !

All effec tive pre sen ta tions change the ways peo ple think or act. Think about it—even if you are “just” pre sent ing data, you’re doing it for a rea son. You want peo ple to use the data to change something! Every effec tive pre sen ta tion per suades the lis tener. Cer tain words per suade peo ple more effec tively than others.

Going back to 1963, expert speak ers have iden ti fied these twelve words as the most per sua sive in the Eng lish lan guage. Try using one or two in your next pre sen ta tion, and watch for changes in how peo ple react to your message.

1. You: Per son al ize your speech so that your lis ten ers feel you are talk ing directly to them. (Exam ple: Ask, “What does this mean to you?” and stick in a benefit.)

2. Dis cov ery: What an excit ing and enthu si as tic feel ing from child hood this conjures!

3. Easy: Your audi ence wants more ease in their busy lives. What can you offer?

4. Guar an tee: Remove the feel ing of risk. Make peo ple feel safe. (Which brings us to:)

5. Safety: This word con jures com fort and eases people’s fears.

6. Save: Every one loves to save money and time. Make the most of this word!

7. Health: Your lis ten ers grav i tate toward self-preservation. See if you can make a con nec tion to your topic.

-5-8. Love: Don’t overuse it. It’s one of the most pow er ful

words when you know what your audi ence loves the most (Fam ily? Secu rity? Safety? Income?)

9. New: Fresh ness, inno va tion, change…people like new “stuff.”

10. Proven: The oppo site of ‘new,’ this word ensures us that we are not tak ing risks. Be sure to back this one with data.

11. Results: What peo ple will get, how they will ben e fit. Very powerful!

12. Free: Don’t for get the dif fer ent defi n i tions of this word: not only free of charge, but also free dom of move-ment and choice. This word gives the hope of lib er a tion and expansion.

ALL these words involve emo tion. Don’t be afraid to use them, as emo tion is the key to persuasiveness.

the need for anyone else’s approval. You must first fully understand yourself and know how healthy your relationship with yourself is before you can have a healthy relationship with others. You have to feel worthwhile and acceptable in your own eyes, so that you’ll be able to look confidently into someone else’s and connect with them.

When you procrastinate, you become a slave to yesterday:Being Proactive today can take such a massive load off your

back tomorrow. So do something right now that your future self will thank you for. By doing that, tomorrow you’ll be happy you started it today.

Failures are only lessons:Good things come to those who are patient and still hope, even

though they’ve been let down and disappointed. So never regret anything that has happened in the past; it cannot be changed, undone or forgotten. Take it all as lessons learned and move on with grace.

A person’s actions speak the truth:You’re going to come across people in your life who will always

talk the talk; but in the end, it’s always their actions you should judge them by. So pay attention to what people do, and be someone who lives by everything he says. Their actions will tell you everything you need to know.

Smile at people who look like they are having a rough day, be kind to them, let them know that there is reason to be happy. Kindness is the only investment that never fails, and wherever there is a human being, there’s an opportunity for kindness. Learn to give, even if it’s just a smile, not because you have too much, but because there are so many others who feel like they have nothing at all.

Time and experience heals pain:

Affirmations are extremely powerful and the reason is because they directly affect our conscious and subconscious mind. And by consistently repeating them with conviction and passion, they reprogram our thoughts allowing us to not only change our state of mind, but to also materialize our dreams and goals regardless of how big or crazy they may seem.

So if you’d like to follow the footsteps of some of the most successful people in the world... Then follow these 5 simple tips to create powerful affirmations, and start manifesting your dreams right away!

1. Start with the words, “I Am...”

These two words are extremely powerful as your brain knows that you’re referring to yourself. Starting your affirmations with these two words will give your subconscious mind clarity and belief that whatever comes after them, IS your reality.

2. Write in the present tense.

When you say affirmations in present tense, you’re reassuring yourself that you believe whatever is in your affirmation, is factual and real right now. Your mind can’t tell the difference between past or future, fake or real, this is why when you imagine yourself drinking lemon juice, you start producing saliva. Also, when your words are in the present tense, your mind can visualize the image at the same time.

-9-3. Keep it positive.

Avoid words with negative connotations like ‘not to’, ‘don’t, ‘can’t’, ‘fear’, etc. Our minds focus more on these words instead of avoiding them. For example, if I asked you NOT TO think about a blue elephant, your mind will picture a blue elephant even though I asked you not to think about it. Instead of saying ‘I am able to get rid of stage fright’, say ‘I am enjoying the excitement of speaking on stage’.

4. Make it short and clear.

Remember that the main purpose of an affirmation is for you to be able to picture it and ingrain it into your mind. So when creating an affirmation, make it direct and specific.

5. Make it exciting.

When creating affirmations, you want to create positive, self-affirming, self-empowering statements that uplift and inspire you. So make sure you add fun and exciting words like, ‘I am ENJOYING making Rs 1 Crore a year.’

Repeat your affirmations as many times a day as you can, even when you may feel you don’t need to. Remember that consistency is key if you really want to make a positive and lasting change in your life.

Example: One really good example is the story of Jim Carrey. Jim used to go up every night to Mulholland Drive and sit on top of his car, look out at the city, stretch out his arms and say: “Everybody wants to work with me. I’m a really good actor. I have all kinds of great movie offers.”

He would repeat these affirmations over and over until he convinced himself that he had a couple of movies lined up. But he didn’t stop there, he also wrote a check to himself for 10 million dollars, kept it in his wallet and then 6 months later he got this amount as a payment for his work on ‘Dumb and Dumber’!

This is the power of affirmations becoming true !

-10-HOW TO TELL WHEN SOMEONE IS LYING ( PART I)

Watching body language in addition to what is spoken might just save you from being a victim of fraud, or it could help you figure out when somebody’s being genuine. The police do this during an interrogation.

You have to learn the little facial and body expressions that can help you distinguish a lie from the truth. Here are some vital steps and tips to do so.

1. Learn to recognize deflections: Usually when people are lying, they will tell stories that are true but are deliberately aimed at not answering the question you asked. If a person responds to the question “Did you ever hit your wife?” with an answer such as “I love my wife, why would I do that?”, the suspect is technically telling a truth, but they are avoiding answering your original question, which usually means they’re lying.

2. Mind exaggerated details: See if they are telling you too much, like “My mom is living in France, isn’t it nice there? Don’t you like the Eiffel tower? It’s so clean there.” Too many details may tip you off to their desperation to get you to believe them.

3. We have illustrators, and manipulators: Illustrators are a sign of telling the truth, this is when you are using your hand gestures to talk. moving your hands while you are talking is a sign of telling the truth. We also have manipulators. These, are the opposite of illustrators. An example of a manipulator can be playing with your wrist-watch, your jewelry, pulling on your ear lobe, etc. People who behave this way tend to be hiding something. The last, commonly unknown sign of hiding something is reptile tissue, most people have a reptile tissue in their nose, and it itches when you’re hiding something.

-11-But, before you assume that the person is hiding something, please establish a base line.

4. Base Line: A base line is what someone acts like when they are not lying. You have to get a base line before you proceed with anything. Imagine you have a itch on your nose ever since you got out of bed. And someone thinks you are hiding something because you scratch your nose when answering a question…oops. What the person should have done is establish a baseline. To establish a baseline, you need to see the person when they aren’t lying. Try asking what their name is, and what they do for a living.

5. Look out for micro-expressions: Micro-expressions are split second facial expressions that flash on a person’s face for a less than a 25th of a second and reveal the person’s true emotion underneath their facade. Some people may be naturally sensitive to them, but almost anybody can easily train to be able to detect micro-expressions. Put focus to the upper and lower eyelids, the corner of the eyes, the mouth and the muscles surrounding the mouth, the eyebrows and forehead.

6. Shaking hands: When you meet the person who you think is deceiving you, shake their hand. Take note of the temperature. When you are sure they are lying to you, pretend to be leaving and quickly grab their hand for a “Good-Bye” handshake. If the temperature is colder, they are fearful.

7. Notice the person’s eye movements: Contrary to popular belief, a liar does not always avoid eye contact. Humans naturally break eye contact and look at non-moving objects to help them focus and remember. Liars may deliberately make eye contact to seem more sincere. You can usually tell if a person is remembering something or making something

-12-up based on their eye’s movements. When someone is remembering details, their eyes move to their left (your right). When someone is making something up, their eyes move to their right. It’s usually reversed for lefties. (although not always true.

8. Be aware of their emotional responses:

l Timing and duration tends to be off when someone is lying. If you ask someone a question and they respond directly after the question, there is a chance that the person is lying. This can be because they have rehearsed the answer, or they’re already thinking about the answer just to get it over with and move forward. A delayed answer can be a sign of lying. To tell the truth takes 2 parts of your brain at most, however to lie takes 6 parts of your brain. If the person has a long story then you can ask them to tell it backwards. Liars have trouble telling stories backwards, because in their mind they have rehearsed it forwards, but not backwards. And, as with smiling, facial expressions of a poor liar will be limited to the mouth area.

l Pay close attention to the person’s reaction to your questions. A liar will often feel uncomfortable and turn their head or body away, or even subconsciously put an object between the two of you. Also, while an innocent person would go on the offensive (usually responding with anger, which will usually be revealed in a micro-expression directly after you say you don’t believe them), a guilty person will often go immediately on the defensive (usually by saying something to reassure their facts, such as deflections).
