It’s a cutting tool. It cuts wood, so

it’s used in woodworking and

carpentry. It’s usedto cut pieces

of wood into different shapes. It’s

usually used to create wooden

objects. It has other names: "panel

saws" or "fish saws". Handsaws have

been around for thousands of years.

HANDSAW

It’s a cutting tool. It’s used in

woodworking and in carpentry, so it

cuts wood, particularly thin wood. It

is used to cut moldings and to create

strange shapes. A coping saw (with

the correct blade) can also be used

to cut through aluminium tubing and

other metal objects.

It uses a thin blade to cut.

COPING SAW

TENON SAW It’s a cutting tool used to cut wood in a straight line.

It’s the same tool than the handsaw, but it has a

stiffening rib on the edge opposite the cutting edge.

Thanks to the stiffening rib it cuts very straight.

It’s a cutting tool used for cutting arbitrary curves

and difficult shapes, into pieces of wood, metal or

other materials.Modern ones are electric tools.

It uses blades to cut.
