HYPEBEAST

ypebeast, we know about ya!” Hypebeast, a person whom solely purchases their clothing based off of the designer or the “hype” on the streets hence the name “hypebeast”. The label “hypebeast was created in December of 2011 when the release of the popular Jordan Concord 11’s released and children & adults lined up to purchase a pair. Throughout recent years being a hypebeast has become a “cool” thing to do amongst the youth of today; purchasing well named brands to display their wealth amongst their peers. With iconic names like Kanye West, ASAP Rocky, Lebron James and other celebs dressing in these brands, kids will line up to purchase apparel from select designers. If hypebeasts line up for something you can expect it to sell out online and in stores. Teens will camp outside of storefronts weeks in advance just to purchase sneakers, and they will be at their computers armed with mommy and daddy's credit cards waiting to purchase things online literally causing thousands of pieces of merchandise to sell out in seconds. The craze is being considered a phenomenon. In our curated film we’re going to touch three of the most popular and sought after brands. We’ll be giving background information on their past and showing some of their most desired products by hypebeasts. These brands draw a lot of clout in the “hypebeast” world and majority of the things that these brands release are released in limited quantities therefore making them exclusive. The brands are Supreme, Bape, and Billionaire Boys Club. All of these brands cater to hypebeasts. You can expect monthly releases from each of these brands online and in the store and you can expect it all to be gone in the blink of an eye. The prices may vary from item to item but regardless of the cost you can expect it to fly off the shelves.

This image is one of Damien Hirst’s famous artworks which was used by Supreme for their skateboards which is the picture in the picture below. These 2 images show Supreme’s ability to collab with artists and not just other brands

These two images are Supreme’s most popular and desired products. One is a Kate Moss tee which originally retailed for $65 and resell today for $150. The image below is the iconic Kermit the Frog taken by famous photographer Terry Richardson. The Kermit design was produced onto a regular Hanes tee shirt.
