is a light weight, easily transported

diffuser that provides a reliable

method of removing chlorine

residual from water flows. The

unit is constructed of 6061-T6

high strength aircraft grade

aluminum for maximum strength

and durability and contains no electro-mechanical components. The Hydra-Max comes equipped with a 2 ½"

NPT adapter for a fast and simple connection when flushing fire hydrants. A swivel elbow on the outlet allows

operators to pinpoint water flow direction along with any unwanted debris when exiting the unit. By directing

the flow, this unique feature provides the operator with safety assurance during each use. An engineered

alternative to bulky and ineffective diffusers, Hydra-Max combines superior performance with portable

convenience and operational ease.

Designed to dose 2 5/8" diameter Enviro-C Vitamin C or Bio-Max dechlorination tablets, the Hydra-Max provides

complete neutralization of chlorine and chloramines from water flows. The Hydra-Max unit provides a chemical

dose in direct correlation to the amount and velocity of the incoming flow. An aluminum tablet insert containing

¼" holes has the ability to hold up to eight tablets to provide users up to 15 minutes of operation time before

refilling is required. There are no chemicals to mix and any remaining tablets can be used on the next chemical

application. The Hydra-Max dechlorination unit is equipped with a handle on the outer housing to provide easy

transportation between jobsites. The complete set up time is typically 1-3 minutes and normally requires only

one operator. The Hydra-Max unit provides a fast and easy way to dechlorinate water in the most effective and

efficient manner when utilizing Norweco’s Enviro-C and Bio-Max dechlorination tablets.

Norweco’s Hydra-Max dechlorination unit is a flow rated diffuser

designed to safely apply chemicals into the flow of water to meet the

most stringent water treatment requirements mandated by Federal,

State and Local regulation. The Hydra-Max unit offers multiple

application options, including swimming pool backflushing, flushing

new water mains and, most commonly, flushing fire hydrants. The unit

allows for simple connection to any fire hydrant and is designed to

accommodate flows from 150 to 900 GPM with chlorine levels up to 4

PPM.

For fire hydrant flushing applications, the versatile 2 ½" NPT adapter

allows for a fast and easy connection and the outlet swivel elbow

provides concise flow direction. Simply fill the removable aluminum

tablet insert with up to eight Enviro-C Vitamin C tablets and place it in

the holding chamber. Hand tighten the 3” NSH threaded cap onto the

holding chamber to complete the installation. It is important to only

hand tighten the cap. It is recommended to check the tablet usage after

15 minutes of operation. Refill tablets if necessary.

The Hydra-Max is a compact, two-piece solvent welded, corrosion

resistant unit that offers low cost tablet operation and is virtually

maintenance free. When the unit is properly installed and utilized

with Norweco’s Enviro-C Vitamin C or Bio-Max dechlorination tablets,

complete removal of free and combined chlorine can be acheived. The

reliable, durable and easily transported Hydra-Max dechlorination unit is

far superior to heavy bulky diffuser systems on the market today.
