Our trading principles

We are proud to be an independent and privately owned global insurance broker with direct access to both Lloyd’s and all major insurers around the world. We are not conflicted by or accountable to corporate shareholders or owned by an insurance company.

Our people and our reputation are our assets. We have worked hard to create an exceptional team of high caliber insurance professionals, who are passionate about clients, aspire to be seen as a trusted partner and relish the opportunity to challenge convention.

We have an excellent reputation for integrity and professionalism. Our clients’ interests always come first. We have an uncompromising determination to achieve excellence in everything we undertake. We believe that client service is rewarded with client loyalty.

Our specialist teams work in partnership delivering a full service approach based on our clients’ needs, allowing us to deliver integrated solutions which are fit for purpose. We constantly strive to anticipate the rapidly changing needs of our clients and to develop new services and products to address these.

We focus on industry sectors where our experience, expertise and resources set us apart from our competitors. Our dedicated risk management and claims management teams are vital to us in delivering a complete proposition to exceed our clients’ expectations.

Without question we are able to compete at the highest level and leverage our well respected market position; yet small enough to give a professional and personal advisory service.

We help our clients navigate risk locally, nationally and internationally

Marine ClaimsMarine is a highly specialized area within the insurance industry. As a result, our claims team works very closely with the brokerage staff - not just when a claim occurs, but throughout the entire process of servicing the insured. We bring together both Claims and Risk Management Services delivering prompt and expert results to our clients. We are guided by a commitment to provide the most comprehensive claims service possible to meet the needs of our clients, prior to and during a claim occurrence. Our goal is to achieve and maintain the highest possible standards of quality, service, integrity, confidentiality and professionalism. As claim specialists HWI Marine has significant experience in the handling of Automobile claims including working as a Third Party Administrator (TPA) for a national motor truck cargo account for Lloyds syndicates involving several car carriers ( Kia/Hyundai). Specific experience also includes appropriate securing methods for ocean and inland transits of autos. To reduce total cost of transit insurance/improve cash flow to Interamericana Transport Industries we would look to develop a Marine Claims Advocacy Approach to include:• Use of pre-shipment surveys documenting the

condition of the vehicles while in the staging area ofthe port would assist in any recovery efforts.

• Special wording and or in depth legal contractualwording can be vetted out by our in house attorneyfree of charge to our clients.

• Immediately seek payment on account (POA) for thequantifiable loss that will be claimed. InteramericanaTransport Industries will have loss funds well inadvance of standard claims practice.

• HWI Marine group to liaise on repairs with third partyprofessionals and a decision to ship (and repair atdischarge location) or immediate repair can quickly bemade thereby saving administrative costs borne by ourclient.

• Depending on the type / size and complication of theclaim, HWI may also seek a waiving of the applicabledeductible with underwriters. We would giveunderwriters full rights and recourse of 100% of thesubrogation recovery without proportionate return ofthe deductible to the insured.
