Khalid Ali Kharafi is a large, well-established construction company based in Kuwait, known also as Kharafi Steel. As my first postgraduate employer, the firm challenged and enhanced my knowledge in civil engineering and the construction field.

Responsibilities and Accomplishments: Confirmed and authorized from Kuwait Oil Company as Civil Engineer. Modeling concrete structures using Etabs, Safe and Sap2000. Design concrete elements using Etabs, Safe, Sap2000 and procon. Visiting work site weekly to track project status and take the percentages of work completion. Negotiating the percentages with the client. Preparing the drawings of work execution. Updating the CPM weekly. Building the monthly payment according to the new percentages. Calculating the total quantities and executed quantities. Collecting all needed back up data for the payment. Weekly meetings with the subcontractors to negotiate the process percentages. Collecting and analyzing all the data needed for claims.

framework of a sustainable transport concept. Reinforced Concrete: The project was a residential building named J-Towers, located in Lebanon (Achrafyeh).

It consisted of 4 towers from J1 to J4. Worked on cleaning maps, meshing, inserting the model in etabs program, analyzing the model, fixing errors of the model, Seismic Analysis and checks, designing slabs, columns, stairs, retaining walls and beams, and detailing for columns, stairs, walls, beams and raft foundation.
