Tasks of the Border Police branch of the Police: • border surveillance • border check• maintaining the order of the state borders, preventing, investigating and settling border offences and border affairs
• implementing international border policing tasks• supervising tasks of controlling foreigners in the territory of the country
• operating the border policing system, which is part of the border security system
• alien policing and asylum related tasks assigned to the Police; additionally handover and official transit of persons through the state border.
