HUMMINGBIRD Hummingbird is an original work of physical theatre, devised by the company, all of whom are professional actors and graduates of the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Hummingbird is currently under development, with work-in-progress performances scheduled in May, and previews in July.

Edith Cole worked a dead end job in a funeral parlour. Ralph Conti worked

wealthy widows for a quick buck. Neither expected to fall in love. But

once they did, they just kept on falling.

Inspired by the true story of the

‘Lonely Hearts Killers’, who gripped the American imagination at the dawn

of the 1950s, Hummingbird is dark, fast, funny physical theatre. Lecoq-

trained Tooth+Nail blend action, acrobatics, music and puppetry with

black humour to tell a deviously touching tale of love and murder.

!Tooth+Nail was founded in 2014 at the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris. We tell original, devised stories that combine humour and darkness in a visually rich and highly physical style. Story and character are at the heart of our work. The question that drives us is: What can we do in a theatre that we can’t do anywhere else?

Adam Gordon Adam is originally from Scotland, where he gained an MA in English and Film from St. Andrews University in 2010. He went on to intern for the Writer’s Theatre in Chicago in 2011 before completing the two-year Professional Acting course at the École Jacques Lecoq in 2014. He also currently works with international theatre company GoodDog, and is a writer and musician. François Lecomte Francois grew up in France and Italy before studying Drama and Technical Theatre at the University of Carlisle. He then went on to train as a professional actor at the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris. He is also an acrobat and juggler, training with the Noctambules de Nanterre and teaching circus skills at L'Academie des Arts in Paris. He has recently worked with international theatre company Manifesto Poetico at Het Compagnietheater in Amsterdam, and Les Compagnons Butineurs in Paris.

Harriet Feeny Harriet is an English actress who first went to Scotland to do an MA in Latin at the University of St Andrews, before working with Waste of Paint Productions for two years as an actor and puppeteer. She went on to become Director in Residence at Birkenhead School, before leaving the UK to spend two years training on the Professional Acting course at the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris. She has recently performed with international theatre company GoodDog at RichMix and The Cockpit in London.
