Barbara’s Ebike Blog…Power to the People! WEEK 3 It's the first time I've used the ebike after a 2 week long holiday, and much to my surprise I could not make it up the hill (Elland to Ainley Top) without pushing the bike! But it is good news in disguise - it shows I did have a well developed fitness to actually ride up the hill without a stop :) WEEK 4 I forgot to charge my ebike overnight and in the morning it ran low on battery. Because of it, I was made to use the 'ECO' battery setting, which applies little battery power. And I did it! Had it not been for the low battery, would I have forced myself to pedal so willingly? I don't think so ;) WEEK 5 It just occurred to me - I've already worked out a changing/washing routine when at Uni, why not coming a bit earlier to use the gym! Considering my prolapsed disc, scoliosis and plantar fascitis, I won't exert myself, just simple 5 minute long runs (as in NOT jogging - that's forbidden by my physio for another 5 years!) - on easy machines to start with. Before the series of injuries caused by the above, I had run for 100 mins without a stop... It is so frustrating to have to come down to a 'dummy dose', BUT, I'll use the mantra that I followed when I first started jogging - and lasted 3 mins! (Neighbours laughed, asked WHY BOTHER). Well, the mantra is to develop the routine! Stay systematic! We'll see where it will take me this time….
