Concussion Recognition & Response

OVERVIEW:•New tool that helps coaches and parents to recognize the signs/symptoms of a suspected concussion and to respond quickly and appropriately to this potentially serious medical situation. •Allows a coach/parent to record pertinent information regarding a child with a suspected concussion and share that information via email with the child’s health care professional. •Provides an easy way to monitor recovery and, in collaboration with the child’s health care professional, determine a young athlete’s readiness to return to play. •This tool is an invaluable way to learn about how concussions are diagnosed and treated.
