Nitride Is More Robust Material is much stronger and stable than old Silicon Carbide
• Confidence With Years of History give the HotRod a 5 year warranty
• Silicon Carbide Ignitors Easily Break
• Next time you buy a silcon carbide ignition at your wholesaler watch what the first thing they do—– Open the box and inspect the
carbide ignitor for breakage
Easy To Use In ServiceHow Do You Know If Hot Rod Will Work?
• Works on most 120 VAC Silicon Carbide applications either the flat or the spiral.
• Technical Note: Nitride Ignitors will not work as a flame sensor.
• Cross Reference Information Right on the Box
• Don’t forget you can also use the WR mobil app
When Should You Replace the Ignitor
• Look at the ignitor during the warm up period. If you see a bright “hot spot” this will indicate potential cracking and maintenance replacement– Ignitors can still get hot
enough to light gas even if there is a hairline crack.
• You can check resistance. As a rule of thumb Cold Resistance should be between 40 and 70 Ohms
