HRA Fall Conference 2019 – Traveling to Vancouver (and on to Squamish)
Please Note: US Law Requires that all Travelers hold a valid Passport for travel.
By air: Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is an award-winning international airport and is served by Canadian airlines, most major US airlines as well as many international carriers. From YVR, there is regular direct motorcoach service to Whistler by Skylynx (which stops in Squamish) – contact at the airport desk for tickets, on line at website www.yvrskylynx.com , or call 604-326-1616. HRA 2019 Conference staff will be at the Station Square Mall (where Skylynx stops in Squamish) to meet each bus arrival on Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18 and will provide transport to your hotel. By rail: Pacific Central Station in Vancouver is served by VIA Rail Canada’s tri-weekly Canadian transcontinental train, and twice daily by Amtrak Cascades service from Seattle WA and Portland, OR. From Pacific Central Station you can rent a car (Hertz has an agency in the station) or connect to the Skylynx motorcoach at its Vancouver stop at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. You can cab from Pacific Central to the Hyatt or catch Vancouver’s Skytrain right across the street, taking it to the Burrard Station which is right at the Hyatt. Rocky Mountaineer Vacations Vancouver station is just a few blocks away from Pacific Central Station; they will provide a shuttle van service to Pacific Central and your bus connection to Squamish or rental car desk in Pacific Central Station. Driving to Squamish – if you are driving to Vancouver, or renting a car at the airport, rail station or other location – just follow Highway 99 north through Vancouver, following signs destined Whistler or Squamish and you will arrive in Squamish. Here you will see the Squamish Adventure Centre on your right, a good place to stop and get any additional directions you might need. HRA 2019 Conference staff will be at the Adventure Centre on Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18 to greet you and provide any assistance you might need.
