    OVERVIEW

The set of samples for Case 10588 contained three (3)soil samples, which were analyzed through the ContractLaboratory Program (CLP) Routine Analytical Services. The sample set contained one (1) field duplicate pair.

All analytes were successfully analyzed in all samples,Areas of concern with respect to data usability arelisted according to the seriousness of , the problem. These include:

    HINOR ISSUES

The field duplicate had results outside of the controllimits (RPD >35%) for the Al, As, Cr, Pb, Mn and Aganalytes. Therefore, the reported results for theseanalytes in the samples have been qualified estimated,» j".

The laboratory duplicate had a result outside of thecontrol limit (RPD >35%) for the Pb analyte. Therefore, .the reported results for the Pb analyte inthe samples have been qualified estimated, "J".

The percent differences (%D) of the serial dilutionwere greater than the 10% limit for the Al, Fe and Mnanalytes. Therefore, the reported results for theseanalytes in the samples have been qualified estimated"J".

  • NOTES

The Sb analyte is not present in the EPA providedinterference check sample (ICS) solution but had aresult > IDL. The reported results for Sb in the .samples which were < 5X the ICS concentration may havebeen affected (biased high), however, they will bequalified estimated "J", as will be address below.

The matrix spike recovery was extremely lowand the ICS had a reported result "V IDL for the Sbanalyte; resulting in opposing effects (biasesextremely low and high). Therefore, the reportedresults for the Sb analyte in the samples have beenqualified estimated "J".

The correlation coefficient from the method of standardaddition (MSA) was
