• The customer must adhere to and retain all original software licenses, upgrade license agreements, and license keys, and provide them to HP upon request.

• The customer should maintain a current backup or copy of their operating system and all other applicable software programs and data prior to use of this service.

• Compatible with all HP or Compaq brand Notebooks, Netbooks, and Desktops with the following system requirements: Windows® 7, Windows Vista®, Windows® XP, • PC must also be able to “boot to desktop” • This service provides a in store one-on-one session with an HP Expert to provide usage training covering topics, such as: • Product setup and PC connectivity; • Data transfer assistance and data backup “how to”; • PC Performance and data security; and/or • Classic Software usage (Microsoft Office®, MS Windows®, Norton applications).

• This service includes giving information on product features, answering installation and configuration questions, and advising on connectivity and component functionality issues.

• This service is provided at HP Total Care Center only. Customers must bring in their PCs. After purchase, your HP SmartFriend Tutor session can be scheduled immediately via the HP Total Care Center website or reception desk. • Activities such as, but not limited to, the following are excluded from this service:

• Software supported may vary, please consult with HP total care center agent; • Support for any version of a software product more than 180 days after release of the subsequent version, unless otherwise expressly agreed; • Questions not directly related to the PC and printer usage and environment (e.g., advice and support on telephony, purchasing, servers, etc.); • Assistance with topics relating to application or Web development; and • Hardware support and requests for repairs.

• HP does not warrant that HP Smartfriend Tutor Service will enable the customer to accomplish any particular task or function.

• HP accepts no responsibility nor provides compensation for damage to the operating system software, application software, or data resulting from the customer’s use of the advice provided by HP.

• To the extent permitted by applicable law, the services herein described are provided by HP on an “AS IS” basis. HP does not provide any warranty of whatsoever for any third party software or any third party services. The only warranties for HP products are set forth in the express warranty statements accompanying such products.

• In no event will HP, its affiliates, its subcontractors, or suppliers be liable for loss of data or for indirect, special, incidental, consequential (including downtime costs or lost profit), or other damage whether based in contract, tort, or otherwise.
