Want to save time?

• Checking multiple teacher blogs can take a lot of time • There’s a way to simplify this so that all of the blogs can be viewed in

one place.• This is done using something called RSS Feeds and Feed Readers.• Feed Readers let you “subscribe” to several streams of information

(including blogs, news sites, etc.)• These streams are viewable all at once instead of visiting multiple

pages.

Here’s how to set up RSS Feeds on a Feed Reader• First, choose a Feed Reader. Most are free. • Many Feed Readers also have phone apps which makes it even easier

to check new blog posts from wherever you are.• One of the most popular Feed Readers is “Feedly” – this one will be

used to illustrate how to set up a Feed Reader. • Most of them work in similar ways.• You usually need to set up an account with the Feed Reader and you

will probably need an e-mail address to do this.

When you add a source, you can rename it and put it in a “collection”.

Continue adding more blogs by copying and pasting their RSS Feed link OR the website address into the search box and following the previous steps. Even if a site does not have an RSS feed symbol, it probably has an RSS Feed that will show up when you paste the address.
