Here are 4 steps to start selling internationally.

1. Sign up with eBay and create a seller’s account

1.1 Sign up with eBay

If you go to www.ebay.com, you will see the registration page just like below. Please click the‘Register’button to generate your eBay account.

From the‘Country or region’dropdown list, select’See all countries…’.

In‘Select the country or region that you live in’page, select’Japan’from’Select countryor region' dropdown list. Then click’Change country or region’.

On‘Tell us about yourself’page, please provide your personal information including below:- name- address- email address

‘Choose your user ID and password’page, fill the following information:- eBay user ID- Password- Secret question- Date of birth

Do not include–in themiddle of numbers.

Before clicking the ‘register’ button, please check the three check boxes below.Note: When you fill postal code, please do not include–in the middle of numbers.

1.2. Create a seller’s account

After signing up with eBay, you need to create a seller’s account. Go to www.ebay.com and click on ‘My eBay’at the top menu.

Then, you will see the ‘My eBay’page below.Click ‘Account’ and choose ‘Personal information’.

Before clicking‘register’button, please check theleft box

Please provide ID ONLYin English

Please double-click this My eBay

Then, you will see the page below.Please see ‘Credit Card’ of ‘Financial Information’ at the bottom and click on ‘Edit’.

Then, you will go to the page to sign in. If you already signed in, this page will not show up.

After signing in, you will see the page below. Please put your credit card informationincluding credit card number, expiration date, and click on ‘Continue’Card Identification number is 3-digit number on the back of your card (please see the picturein the page). If it is American express card, use the 4-digit number on the front.When you put zip code, don’t use any –in the middle of numbers.

2. Sign up for PayPal account

Please go to www.paypal.com/j1 then you will see the page below.Please click the drop-down button and choose Japanese. Then follow the instruction inJapanese to create your PayPal account.

3. Get your PayPal account verified

3.1. After you enter your contact information and credit card details, you will be asked to linkand confirm your credit card by clicking‘Save and continue’. This starts the verificationprocess and authorizes a JPY 200 charge to your credit card to generate a 4-digit PayPalcode. The 4-digit PayPal code will appear on your credit card statement in minimum 5 to 7business days.

Note: You will be refunded the JPY 200 upon successfully entering your code in your PayPalaccount.

3.2. You will get confirmation of credit card charge to generate 4-digit PayPal code.

Note: It may take minimum 5 to 7 business days for the code to appear on your onlineaccount statement. To expedite this process, we recommend logging in to your credit cardstatement online to get your code. Otherwise, this process could take up to 30 days or untilyou receive your next statement with the post.

This is a sample of PayPal code on a credit card statement.

3.3 Once you have retrieved your 4-digit PayPal code from your credit card statement, loginto your PayPal account and click on the‘Confirm my debit or credit card’link on the

‘Account Overview’page to enter your code.

3.4. To complete the verification process and confirm your credit card, enter your 4-digitPayPal code.

If you are done with this page, your PayPal account gets verified.

3.5. In case you have created your PayPal account, but only need to get your PayPal verified,here is the first step for you to take through before going to number (1) above.

Login to your existing PayPal account and click either the‘Add a credit card’link (if youhaven’t yet added a credit card to your account) or the ‘Link and confirm my debit or credit card’link.

Note: Once you have added your credit card information, you will see the screen in step #3.4.prompting you to link and confirm your debit or credit card.

4. Once you are verified, you will need to link your eBay and PayPal accounts tocomplete the process. Now, it is the last step to get ready for selling!

4.1. Link your eBay and PayPal accounts

4.1.1. Go to:‘My eBay’and sign in to your eBay account.

4.1.2. On the ‘Addresses’ page in ‘My Account’ section.

4.1.3. Select‘View All Addresses’

4.1.4. Click on ‘Add PayPal Addresses

4.1.5. When prompted, login to your PayPal account, click ‘Get PayPal Addresses’and then click ‘Continue’. Once you have successfully linked your accounts, youwill receive a confirmation from PayPal.

4.2. Now, please check to see if your PayPal and eBay accounts are linked

4.2.1. Go to: My eBay and sign in to your eBay account.

4.2.2. On the ‘My Account’ page in ‘My eBay’, if your accounts are already linked, you will see a module for ‘My PayPal Account Information’.

Finally, you are ready to start selling on eBay. Congratulations!

Go to ‘Sell’ on the top menu, and start selling.

If you choose ‘Sell an item’, you will see the page below. Click ‘Start Selling”.
