Loosen the pre- installed set screw. Turn the key 90° counterclockwise. Remove the lever. Insert the key that currently operates your lock, and turn it 90° clockwise. Insert the SmartKey tool fully and firmly into the SmartKey hole, then remove the SmartKey tool and current key. Fully insert your new key into the lock and turn it 180° counterclockwise. Next, turn the key 90° back to the starting position, then remove it. Install the lever. Insert the key and turn it 90° clockwise. Tighten pre-installed set screw to secure exterior lever. To access the hidden pre- installed set screw on the lock, the key must be turned horizontal. Turn the key 90° counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the tool to this depth. How to Re-key the Lock (if needed)

IMPORTANT: Remove lever before re-keying. 1

Re-install the lever. 3

Re-key the lock. 2

Insert the key and turn it 90° clockwise.

Loosen the pre-installed set screw.

Turn the key 90° counterclockwise.

Remove the lever.

Insert the key that currently operates your lock, and turn it 90° clockwise.

Insert the SmartKey tool fully and firmly into the SmartKey hole, then remove the SmartKey tool and current key.

Fully insert your new key into the lock and turn it 180° counterclockwise. Next, turn the key 90° back to the starting position, then remove it.

Install the lever. Insert the key and turn it 90° clockwise.

Tighten pre-installed set screw to secure exterior lever.

To access the hidden pre-installed set screw on the lock, the key must be turned horizontal.
