Hey there. This is a step-by-step guide on how to mount an .iso to your disk drive. Basically, .iso is a virtual CD, your computer uses programs like daemon tools or alcohol 120% to read the .iso file as a CD. The programs are virtual disk drives. Since there is no actual CD, you are essentially tricking the computer into thinking that something exists in the disk drive. First you should have a winrar or zip or .iso file. You have 2 things that could happen to this file. Also, it helps to read the MSinfo(right click: open with…Notepad) or readme document which normally tells you if its .iso or .winRAR 1) It is a single .iso file (a CD), mine looks like a winRAR file if you can’t unpack it then its probably an .iso.

First you should have a winrar or zip or .iso file.You have 2 things that could happen to this file. Also, it helps to read the MSinfo(right click: open with…Notepad) or readme document which normally tells you if its .iso or .winRAR
1) It is a single .iso file (a CD), mine looks like a winRAR file if you can’t unpack it then its probably an .iso.
2) It is a winrar file, with a bunch of files following it. Scroll past this first part to FINDING THE .ISO
MOUNTING If it is number 1) then continue from here. If you have what 2) looks like, scroll down and figure out how to get your .iso image. Then come back later. If you followed all the instructions for number 2 already, then stay here.
Open up the daemon or Alcohol 120% (I have alcohol 120%, but daemon should be similar.)
Notice that I have two “CD/DVD-ROM” drives. A virtual one (b/c of Alcohol) and a physical one that actually sits in my computer.
We are going to mount the image or .iso file. Drag the file into the program, here I have the .iso file. Or you can select the file from the “File” tab in the program.
Once in the program, right click to “mount on device” or something similar to that.Select the disk drive (virtual one).
Once mounted it should Autorun like a real CD!
TA DA> Then go ahead and select “Install”(since I’ve already got the game installed, it says “play” for me).Congrats, that’s how you do it.
FINDING THE .ISOIf you have what 2) looks like, there is a small step in the beginning to get your .iso image.
Extract the FIRST winrar/zip file. This will unzip the rest of them into one big file.
Extract the FIRST ONE!!!!
Extract to the same folder as the winRar files for conveniences sake. It will take a while, depending on the game size (2-5gigs) and your computer, it could take half an hour to two hours. Just be patient. Once its finished unpacking it all…(This file is 4million mbs)You should have something like this.
Open up the folder and…
AH SHIT! ANOTHER ONE.Just chill.Okay, now go to the section of this guide I called MOUNTING (giggle). Follow the instructions from there. This file here is your .iso file.
