HOW TO MAKE RENDANG

Do You Know Rendang?
Rendang is a kind of international food from Padang.
I called rendang is international food because a lot of people from outside Indonesia know and have eat it.
INGREDIENTS
1 kg lean beef, cut into 25-28 pieces 3 eggs grated mature coconut, make
coconut milk Cinnamon powder Cloves 2 star anise 2 cardamom pods
5 kaffir leaves, thinly sliced 1 cup of water 1 table spoon of brown sugar Salt to taste
SPICES Nutmeg powder 10 shallots or small brown onion 5 gloves of garlic 1 thumb-size (about 2) galangal 1 thumb-size (about 2) ginger 3 stalks of lemon grass (use only bottom
white part) 10 to 12 dried chili pods or 1 to 2 table
spoons

DIRECTIONS
First, heat oil in a stew and add blended paste, cinnamon powder, cloves, cardamom and fry until fragrant.
After that, add beef, sugar and salt and stir-fry until meat is evenly coated with paste.
Next, add coconut milk and 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
And then, lower heat and allow to simmer until meat is fairly dry and tender. Wait for a few minute.
After the meat fairly dry and tender, season with extra salt and sugar if needed.
The last, add sliced kaffir leaves for a fresh citrusy flavor.
Finally, dish out and serve.
