What Happens With My Record Book?

• Complete your record book and turn it in to the county youth coordinator by October 1.

• Judged by the 4-H Adult Committee.

• Receive your 4-H Yearly Pin and possibly a Project Award; Presented at 4-H Awards Night in November.

• Keepsake to share with family and friends.

• Continue adding to it each year.

What to Include in Your 4-H StoryThis helps the judges get to know you!

• Introduction• Introduce yourself, your age, describe your family, include your special

interest, and tell why you are in 4-H.

• Personal Goals• Share what goals that you set to improve yourself and how you’ve grown or

changed by reaching your personal goals.

• Favorite Projects or Activity • Tell about your favorite project or activity, stress the human interest side.

Include major achievements, funny or challenging incidents, and how you have grown by completing the project.

• Leadership, Citizenship, Community Service • Summarize how you feel 4-H has helped you become a better citizen

and a better leader.

• Future Plans• Describe how participation in projects and activities will influence what

you will do next year.

county fair, you may ONLY complete the exhibit form.

• If you showed livestock/animal at the county fair, you must complete BOTH the project record form AND the livestock/animal project form.
