The 203-acre Arney Bend Wildlife Area was purchased by the Marshall Coun-ty Conservation Board in 1980 to conserve and manage an important segment of wild-life habitat adjacent to the Iowa River A grant from the Iowa Wildlife Habi-tat Stamp fund provided 75% of the cost of the acquisition. The remaining monies came from Marshall County Conservation Board funds and numerous business, civic organizations, and individual donations
