The TEA Accountability Ratings are based on a number of factors that are used to analyze the
results of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness or the STAAR test
Click the hyperlink below to view a Texas Education Agency report on a district or
school’s “2014 Accountability Summary”

Scroll down the page until you see “List”
1. Click on the district, campus, or ratings by school type listing.
2. Follow the directions to obtain information on a desired school/district
The “Performance Index Report” is given in graph and written form.
Student Achievement- provides a snapshot of performance across all subjects
Student Progress- measures year to year student progress by subject and student group
Closing Performance Gaps- tracks advanced academic achievement of economically disadvantaged students and the lowest performing racial/ethnic student groups
Postsecondary Readiness- emphasizes the importance of earing a high school diploma that provides a foundation for success in college, the workforce, job training, or the military
Cultural Competency data is available by viewing the
“Campus Demographics”
New this year-2014- English-language learners who have been in the U.S. schools for two or three years will be included in the ratings.
Other information on the report includes:
Graduation rates
STAAR scores by subject matter
Scores on state and national college
board tests-SAT/ACT
New for 2014
Texas school districts are state-mandated to post on their websites,
locally designed ratings the district sets as its highest priorities
