How to download the new NALP PowerPoint Presentation

1. Go to the NAA Website: www.naahq.org

2. Locate the NAA Affiliate Tab at the top of the page

3. From the Affiliates page, scroll down to the “NAAEI Education Materials” and then click

“Instructor and Affiliate Education Resources.”

If you are not already logged in, you may be prompted to do so after clicking this link.

4. From this page, scroll down to Designation Program Materials and click NALP.

5. This will take you to the NALP Instructor Resources page. Scroll down to find the

PowerPoints:

6. You will then be taken to the Google Drive. From here, you will need to download each

module by clicking on the arrow under each course file. For Example, you will see

Course 1 circled below.

7. Once you click the arrow, you will be taken to a screen that looks like the one below.

Click the arrow on top of the box to begin the Download.

8. Due to the size of the file, you may see the alert below, but please click “Download

anyway.”

9. The download will then begin at the bottom of the screen. Due to the size, it may take

some time to download completely.

10. Once the files have been downloaded, you will need to open the folder shown above to

take you to the actual files. Then select “Course 1-Bringing in New Residents,” which will

open the files.

11. Click PPTVIEW (note that the icon is not a PowerPoint icon) and then “Extract All”

12. A box will then appear for you to select where to save the files. Click “Extract.”

13. Conform Encryption by clicking “Yes.” The files will begin to unzip.

14. Your courses will be displayed. Click Course 1:

15. Once the files is open, click PPTVIEW again. Notice that this time the icon is the

PowerPoint logo.

16. Click PPTVIEW and then Run:

17. Click “NALP_MC1” and click open

18. Your PowerPoint will then be displayed and the videos will be linked!

Tips: Please note that you will only have to follow ALL of these steps once. Once you

download everything and unzip the files, save them in a familiar location, as shown in

step 13. For example, I save mine on my desktop in a file called “NALP 2015

PowerPoints.”
