How to Customize the Menu Links For Editing Features

The following procedure will assist instructors with changing the menu links from buttons to colors so they can turn features on and off until Blackboard fixes the design flaw in 9.1.

Log in to your course

1. Log into the course you need to customize2. Left click on Control Panel3. Left click on the BLUE chevron beside

Begin Customization

1. Left click on the Style link

Change Button Style

1. Look under the Select Menu Style heading2. Left click the check box beside Text

The style will change from a button, to a colored background with TEXT only

Finalize Changes

1. Verify the colors are what you want2. Left click the down arrows to change the

link and/or text color3. Left click the Submit button

Make changes to menu links as needed

1. Verify that the menu links have changed to the selected color, and that you can see the Action Link on the right hand edge of each menu link. You can now edit the links as needed.
