How  to  Create  Dropbox  Assignment      

• Select  Dropbox.  • Then,  select  “New  Folder”.  

     

• Enter  a  “Name”  for  the  Assignment.  • Determine  the  Folder  Type  from  the  following  options  :  

A) Select  Individual  Submission  Folder.  B) Select  Group  Submission  Folder.  i) Select  the  Group  Category  from  the  dropdown  menu.  

 

 

     

• Optional  :  Select  one  of  the  following  options  to  add  a  Category  (to  organize  folders).  A) Select  and  existing  Category  from  the  dropdown  menu.  B) Select  the  New  Category  link.  

i) Enter  a  Name.  ii) Select  Save.  

                                 

• Optional  :  Select  one  of  the  following  options  to  link  the  folder  to  the  Grades  tool  :    A) Select  and  existing  Grade  Item  from  the  dropdown  menu.  B) Select  the  New  Grade  Item  link.    

 • Complete  the  window  for  the  New  Grade  Item  if  you  selected  option  B.  

   

• Enter  an  Out  Of  Score.    

 • Optional  :    Edit  the  Student  View  Preview  by  selecting  the  action  button  to  the  right  of  the  existing  preview  item/s.  

 • Optional  :  Select  one  of  the  following  Rubric  Options  

 

A) Press  the  Add  Rubric  button  if  you’ve  already  created  a  rubric  for  this  dropbox  assignment.  

B) Press  the  Create  Rubric  in  New  Window  link  if  you  have  not  created  a  rubric  for  this  dropbox  assignment.    

 

 • Optional  :  Enter  Instructions  for  the  Dropbox  Assigment.  • Optional  :    Select  Add  a  File  to  add  attachments  or  Record  Audio  to  record  short  audio  message.    

   

• Optional  :  Press  the  Show  Submission  Options  link  to  edit  any  of  the  default  settings  :  

 A) Select  one  of  the  following  options  for  Files  Allowed  Per  Submission.  i) Select  Unlimited.  ii) Select  One  File  Per  Submission.  

             B) Select  one  of  the  following  options  for  Submission  Options.  

i) Select  Keep  All  Submissions.  ii) Select  Overwrite  Submissions.  iii) Select  Only  One  Submission  Allowed.    

   

• Press  the  Save  and  Close  button.    Note  :  If  you  wish  to  set  Availability  or  Due  Dates,  follow  the  steps                                Below:    

• Select  the  Restrictions  Tab  

     • Optional  :    Input  Start  Date,  Due  Date  and/or  End  Date  • Optional  :  Select  either  the  Attach  Existing  or  Create  and  Attach  button  to  attach  Release  Conditions.    

• Optional  :  If  you  wish  to  give  users  Special  Access  to  the  Dropbox  Assignment  select  one  of  the  following  options  :    A) Allow  users  with  special  access  to  submit  files  outside  of  the  normal  availability  dates  for  this  folder.  

B) Allow  only  users  with  special  access  to  see  this  folder.      

     

     

     

• Press  the  Save  and  Close  button.
